1. Sorry to do this but I'm going to withdraw the cab from sale. I've had no joy finding replacements and I've tried a couple of cabs lately that just left me cold, so better to stick with what I have.
2. Hmmmm... (strokes chin as he gazes at the Roadworn Jazz sitting unused).
3. I've just realised... is this (one) of my old bass?
4. I have an 'as new' Hellborg pre for sale (sales section); fantastic pre but I am presently wedded to my Thunderfunk. I have to confess that I am 90% certain it'll be sold next week but you never know!
5.
Looks just like the one I sold to John
Slightly later headstock shape, body 'slightly' fatter and the neck body joint is more sculpted than the 84 version... but lovely all the same
6.
...find out the guys details and take it to a small claims court.
Common sense dictates you'd not have a leg to stand on... legally! Personally, I'd try straightforward reasoning with him over how he wants to resolve the matter because after that it is down hill and ultimately will result in a slagging match and not much getting sorted (the view of an outsider looking in and playing Devil's Advocate). .
7. Must've seen that vid a dozen times and I still love the enthusiasm. Ozzy even manages to sound good... which is a feat in itself.
8. Hand on heart, I couldn't honestly say! I've not personally played a fretless Ray but any differences between Ray and Sterling will be heard here. I'd guess for you the biggest bonus would be the neck (is my memory right you don't do big chunky necks).
9.
I recently got to play this beauty at the NE Bass Bash and loved it Fantastic tonal range and a definitive MWAAAAAAH to be had from this lovely looking and sounding fretless. If you are in the market for your first fretless you could do a lot worse than this beauty, and if you want to improve on the one you already have - this could be what you have been looking for Plus of course it's on sale from the world famous Mr Hunt, purveyor of fine basses and all round decent chap, what more could you ask for? Have a bump on me Sir, for that is one lovely fretless
Your cheque is in the post!
10. All of the Roadworn are Mexican. In fact I work in Guidepost so pass through Bedlington daily!
11. No disrespect to Kev's photography skills but... the bass is WAY nicer in the flesh! It is a lovely transparent red whereby you can see the light flaming of the maple body. If it weren't for the fact that I am downsizing I'd have this back off Kev (hence my original sale). In fact I still have several more basses that I need to move on and if this is still available it may well end up coming back to me.
12. Another vote for the 'other' Musicman!
13.
What a bummer. Just went onto his site to see about getting a set of jazz pickups.
Buy my Roadworn Jazz and steal the Wizards out of that... then sell it on with your pups installed; as good as a free set of Wizards!
14. Shee it... losing finger tip! Real shame to hear of your band's demise. just means one more bass player sniping my dep work.
15. DOH! Slow at typing/responding.
16. If the head can do 2/4/8 ohm loads then you have no problem with the amp (the load will be between 2-4 ohms). The 2x12 won't have any affect on the 1x12 load as such but sensitivity dependent one might be working harder than the other, in which case use your ears!
17. As it happens, I likely have a local buyer for this!
18. First impressions Kev?
19. Wal definitely did XLR + 1/4" as I 'think' did Overwater and my Washburn AB20 acoustic bass has a 1/4" and XLR. Sure there are others.
20.
Sold
Excellent... that leaves the field clear for mine!
