1. Hi Paulie, very nice ! Is that probably an Ash body by any chance ?? Is the colour translucent ?
2. I forgot to mention that the amp comes with the original AER cover, which is still in top condition.
3. Selling one of my wonderful AER Basscube amps. These small and powerful cubes are designed to be used with double basses AND electric basses. I personally find them extraordinarily well for old Fender basses. The sound is deep, warm, full and even throughout the whole spectrum and supports the natural tone of even a good old electric bass in the best way. This Basscube is version 1 - compared with the version 2 this model has the heavier wood construction and the 3 (instead of 2) input channels. Both models are fully loaded with all features you would need to control your bass sound in any environment: 3 input channels, aux input, Notch filter, compressor (very subtle and nice), phantom power, etc etc. Version 1 is not available anymore. Version is offered for retail price 2,649.61 GBP / 3.175 EUR (Thomann) and up !! These amps are a rare find on the 2nd hand market and for a good reason ! The exeptional small dimensions might lead you to underestimate this cube. You won't believe how full and loud these small amps are (that's true for all AER amps including the amazing mini combo AER Amp One). Condition is technically 100%. There are some signs of wear on the bottom and some dust on the other sides but nothing is damaged. The amp was at AER for a full check in 2011 and works 100% reliable. SOLD This is an extract from the AER manual: We followed radically different paths when we set out to realise our tone ideas in order to make the bass sound the way it wants to sound. • A controlled switched mode power supply clocked to 200 kHz supplies the 350 watts/8 Ohm bass power amplifier with adequate constant voltage, independant from the load current. Its efficiency is exceptionally high. Among other things, this makes it possible to provide this degree of performance in such a small cabinet without causing thermal problems. • The analogous signal processor monitors the signal so that full power-amplifier performance can be called upon without the “headroom” that would normally be necessary. That saves space and weight, is gentle to the loudspeaker and provides for constant and definite conditions in the power amplifier. Since a “closed system” (power amplifier, processor and loudspeaker) is at issue, it is possible to match all components involved optimally, thus ensuring a maximum of effectiveness without overstraining the system. We approach the limits without exceeding them. • We chose a 12” B&C die-cast long-stroke speaker. This 12” loudspeaker is particularly suitable for bass reproduction in small bass-reflex cabinets. Reproduction characteristics, capacity and efficiency are interrelated in such a manner that special bass speakers are always somewhat softer (by about 3 dB) than universal speakers. The speaker has been subjected to electrical and mechanical testing according to AES (Audio Engineering Society) standards. • The cabinet must withstand enormous strains. It it made of 18 mm birch multiplex (13 ply) and is grooved and glued with waterproof glue. The loudspeaker is contained in a bass-reflex chamber separate from the electronic unit so that everything is mechanically decoupled. • The BASSCUBE is “two-way-active”, that is, there is an additional dome tweeter with active frequency crossover and its own power amplifier with 60 watts to 8 ohm. The tweeter is mounted on a multiplex traverse in the middle of the 12” bass loudspeaker (coaxial construction). The “combo-amplifier” is hence a full-range 2-way active speaker system with audio quality. • Furthermore, the BASSCUBE is constructed with 3 channels (supplemented by Aux-in). This makes complicated set-ups using a piezoelectric pick-up, magnetic pick-up and microphone, all linked to one amplifier, through which you can also sing. • Further features include: - 48 V phantom source for a microphone - 9 V phantom source for bass electronics (through a stereo cable) - FX-loop, mono, parallel - Notch filter with adjustable cut and frequency - switchable compressor - variable DI-out to XLR - line-out, tuner-out, headphones-out - footswitch (FX-loop on/off) - variable tape-in (RCA phono plug) - active subwoofer out - passive ext. speaker out - groundlift & voltage select Technical Spec Ch1: XLR-Combi line: unbalanced, 1 MEG, stereo, (ring: 9V/15V phantom power) piezo: unbalanced, >10 MEG, Bultra high impedance inputstage mic: balanced, 1 k, 48V phantom power Ch2: line: unbalanced, 1 MEG piezo: unbalanced, >10 MEG, Bultra high impedance inputstage Ch3: XLR-Combi line: unbalanced, 1 MEG, stereo mic: balanced, 1 k, 48V phantom power Return: effect-return, mono 0dBV/22k Aux-In: cinch, stereo 0dBV/22k Outputs: DI: balanced, adjustable -20dBV to -10dBV (1=gnd, 2=pos, 3=neg) Line: unbalanced, 0dBV, pre master Active Sub out: unbalanced, 0dBV, post master Tuner: unbalanced, -10dBV Headphones: 2 x mono, 2 x 320 mW at min. 4 ohms Footswitch: mono Send: effect-send 0dbV ext. speaker passive: min 8 ohms eq: ch1/2: bass: ±10 dB/ 80 Hz middle: ±10 dB/ 200 Hz - 1 kHz treble: ±10 dB/ 10 kHz colour: -3 dBV/ 700 Hz and +10 dBV/ 10 kHz ch3: bass: ±06 dB/ 100 Hz treble: ±10 dB/ 10 kHz Notch: cut: -14 dBV/ 30-400 Hz Compressor: threshold: -40 dBV - 0 dBV ratio: 1:1 to 20:1 Analog Signal Processor: limiter, displacement filter Power Amp: Powerconsumption: 220-240 V / 50-60Hz / 400 VA (110V / 50-60Hz) rating: bass 340 watts / 8 ohms rms tweeter 360 watts / 8 ohms rms freq.resp: 20 Hz - 30kHz fuse: 6.13 A slow Speaker: bass: 12” B&C longcoil di-cast chassis (96 dB 1w/1m, freq.range 38 Hz-2 kHz) tweeter: B&C cone tweeter (103 dB 1w/1m, freq.range 5 -16.5 kHz) X-over: active two-way, 4 kHz / 24 dB/ oct., LR-filter Cabinet: 10.71” 3(18 mm) birch plywood Dimension: 15.75” (400 mm) wide 15.75” (400 mm) high 14.33” (364 mm) deep Finish: waterbased acrylic, black spatter finish Weight: 53.3 lbs. 4. Price dropped to 2.950 GBP / 3.500 EUR plus shipping. C'mon guys. This bass is Smith heaven !
5. After selling a Tobias Classic 5 Fretless years ago I now sold my Ken Smith Black Tiger Elite 6 to Antonello. Very smooth deal ! Antonello was always responsive and clear in his communication and paid promptly. Would always deal with him again. Good luck with your basses, Antonello. Talk soon :-) Rainer
6. Thanks again but I would highly appreciate not to start a longer discussion about DN in my ad... thanks.
7. Thanks Denis. It is from 2010 (I guess). The colour is less greenish than shown in the pics - more light blue-green - hard to catch with a camera...
8. Considering to part with my Fodera Imperial 5 Koa Specs: Full Exhibition Grade Koa Top Alder Body Ebony Board with Abalone Blocks, 24 frets 34 scale Extended B-string Black Hardware Dual Coils Pope preamp (pre-2009) Weight: 4,8 kg This bass is the all-time beauty of my collection. Koa becomes more and more scarce and is nearly impossible to find anymore in such a quality. MINT condition. No dings or dongs overall. Dominant and full sound like expected from a full blown Imperial. Very low action. The bass is absolutely comfortable to play. Yet it is weighing slightly more than I would like to carry on stage, so I am considering to part with it. Original teardrop hardcase and tools included. SOLD - pending payment...
9. Selling my Fodera Anthony Jackson Contra Bass 6 Spalted Maple Specs: Full Spalted Maple Top Ash Body Ebony Board, no board markers, 24 frets 34 scale Black Hardware Dual Coils Pope preamp (pre-2009) Weight: 4,5 kg A wonderful 6-stringer, really lightweight and easy to play even on stage. This bass has been played a lot and was just refurbished. It is in absolutely MINT condition and super easy to play. The weight of 4.5 kg makes it comfortable to your shoulder even for long sets. The neck is flat and allows fast runs. Very low action. The sound is quite open in the treble and even along all registers down to a deep low end. Wonderful slap tone, yet nice for chords and harmonisation work. Original teardrop hardcase and tools included. WITHRAWN from sale
10. Selling my Fodera Monarch Yin Yang Deluxe 5 Specs: Pau Amarillo / Purpleheart Top Alder Body Maple Board with Purpleheart dots, 24 frets 34 scale Black Hardware EMG Pickups Pope Flexcore preamp Weight: 4,2 kg This is an opportunity to get one really rare model of the Fodera line. Victor Wooten's Yin Yang Signature will be built only 6 times a year by the Fodera team and most of them are 4-stringers. Retail price today is 8.760 GBP/ 10.500 EUR/ 14.000 USD + plus shipping/import. And - believe it or not - these prices are still paid for them ! The YYD5 is only available directly from Fodera. This particular Yin Yang has the red/yellow Purpleheart/Pau Amarillo top which was the original config of Victor Wootens initial YY bass. The bass is ABSOLUTELY easy to play - lowest action - smooth feel of the neck and very lightweight for a 5-string. The sound is extremely explosive, yet organic in the mids. The B string is fully integrated. The preamp is a Pope Flexcore which works great in this bass. I will give both midrange controls with the bass, which are not yet installed, and the EQ on/off switch. These parts can be easily installed later without soldering (of course drilling holes is needed). The original 2-Bd preamp is still there and will come with the bass too. Original teardrop hardcase and tools included as well. The condition is indeed MINT - absolutely no damages, no dings, no flaws. Of course there are some veeeery minor scuffs in the polish which appear after a few minutes playing, but you will need to have a close look. Structurally perfect and technically fully working. TRADED

COA and all candy (like new)
A limited edition Custom Shop Jazz Bass. Only 10 delivered in Europe. Custom Color: Sonic Blue (pale). Matching head stock and with rolled off frets (like in the old days) which improves its playability drastically! Basically I don't like Relic finishes but this one is made quite tasty. Even the pickguard and the Hardware is aged and could be mistaken as vintage parts. The board is of old growth DN which is not offered by Fender anymore ! The Pale Sonic Blue is faded towards white/green. Very nice as well. Look at the difference to the unfaded areas under the pickguard. Fantastic sound and playability ! VERY close to the pre-CBS originals. I owned a few Custom Shop Fenders and no one was on par with this one - not even close. Condition is - despite the fact that it is relic'ed - like new. Bass comes with original MINT Tolex case with all case candy and COA - like it would be delivered from factory. Asking price is [s]2.300 GBP / 2.700 EUR[/s] 2.200 GBP / 2.600 EUR or next offer plus shipping. No trades please. 12. This bass is SOLD Selling my Alleva Coppolo LM5 Deluxe Natural Tint Specs: Ash Body, Natural Gloss Poly Finish Maple Board with aged Perloid Blocks and white binding 34 scale 19 mm spacing Original Alleva electronics Original Alleva Pickups Original Alleva/Hipshot B Bridge Weight: 4.7kg Birth year: 2009 Near MINT LM5 with perfect 70s look and feel. Straight neck, DR Fat Beams, super nice 70s Jazz Bass sound. The blocks are yellowed like on an original 70s JB today. This particular Alleva has the slightly smaller body like in the first AC years. Condition is absolutely flawless, except of the black pickguard which shows some signs of wear at the slap and thumb areas. Could be easily replaced by a new one I guess. Comes with seriously used but working G&L case. Bass is located in Duesseldorf / Germany.
13. Bought a couple of Magazines from Jim. Very smooth deal and he was helpful and communicative in the best way. Top BCer !
14. Thanks, Fernando. But no deal there. So it is still available. Open for cash offers ...
15. Still open for cash offers.
16. Looking for a 70s JazzBass or StingRay bump...
17. Thanks Clarky - yes it is - take a look at the board - never seen such a flame pattern...
18. SOLD Specs: 3Tone Sunburst Nitro Finish 34 scale 19 mm spacing Original Alleva electronics (active 3-Bd) Original Alleva Pickups Original Alleva Bent Plate Bridge (Alleva/Hipshot B as a spare part available - pics are shown with the Hipshot, Bent Plate bridge on last pic) Weight: 4.3kg Birth year: 2011 Played and therefore some minor, very small dings/dongs over the body. Some playing wear on the scratchplate, 2-3 scratches on the lower side of the body (where it lays on the leg when sitting). Otherwise in excellent condition. The board has a nice flame pattern - see pics. The Nitro finish is so thin that it is unbelievable how Jimmy could buff it to high gloss without going through to bare wood. Excellent ! The sound is as close to pre-CBS Fenders as it gets with modern basses - but with 5 strings . This is the top of the line model from Jimmy and hard to find in EU. Comes with ProTec gigbag. Trade value 3.300 GBP. Serious cash offers welcome, but no low ballers please. It is not that I have to get rid of it. The bass is excellent - just looking for something different as I already own another LG5 - I would really like to have a RA5 (I know that's a long shot). Trades considered (cash either way tbd): Preferred option: Alleva Coppolo RA5 or LM5 Deluxe (not too heavy) Other options: F Bass AC6 with Lines Fender pre-CBS Fodera (no NYC. no Standard) Absolutely no other models or brands please !
