1. She is still available. This 36" is more comfortable to play than most 35" I owned. The sound is a perfect elaboration of a 70s Jazz Bass - responsive and explosive like the original but with much more depth and body even in passive mode.
2. Bump for a AAA+ seller ! I had this bass in my hands for a few moments and it is an amazing example of a modern 60s JB 5er. Indeed absolutely like new !! Great bass at a ridiculous low price - Good luck !!
3. Bump with new pics and price finally dropped. No trades please.
4. 4.5 kg - 22 frets - Tulipwood and Purpleheart ... some quite rare features for an Imperial ! Breathtaking ! Good luck with the sale !
5. So, do you know the weight now ?
6. I will be in London on Wednesday next week. I could probably bring it with me if I get the cash into my account before then....:-)
7.
Please forgive my ignorance but can you give me an idea of the neck profile please ? I've only played one AC Pbass before - a 4 string - and thought the neck quite "traditional" which is period correct but I wasn't keen as it was too chunky for me. Thanks and GLWTS. :-)
Just don't have it at home these days. Will tell you when I have it back here. Expected on Wednesday.
8. Temporary price drop (as long as the GBP is >1,25) 2.200 GBP plus shipping.

12. I had the chance to play this bass for a few minutes. Feels and plays wonderful and has an amazing low mid growl. Killer bass ! Flamencito is a top player and 100% serious seller. You won't be disappointed ! Free bump from me !
13. Fodera Emperor Elite 5 Olive Top Specs: Wonderful Olive Top Ash Body Highly figured Birdseye Maple Board, Ebony markers, 24 frets 36 scale Gold Hardware 19mm spacing at bridge, adjustable +/- 0,5mm Old Bartolini Single Coils, 70th positions Pope preamp Weight: 4,7 kg / 10.3 lbs I owned this bass from 2009 to 2011, sold it then and recently bought it back, as the new owner fell in love with another brand. But due to my current sales push I am offering this for sale again. It is a wonderful Emperor and for me it has the benchmark for all Fodera sounds. This bass is quite unique with his 36" in a rather easy playable and comfortable package. Among 35+ Fodera basses I owned in the past the B string of this one is among the best and most defined B strings of all. Compared with the newer dual coil hype at Fodera I feel that the single coils have more snap in the sound. I anyway use 95% of the time the single coil mode even with dual coil pickups... Additionally - the Bartolinis of that era seem to have more warmth than later Duncans. The action is low and the sound is tending towards a typical 70s Jazz Bass but with a much wider range of sound options, and more open both on the upper and lower side. Even with his through-neck the bass responses to nuances of your fingerplay. Slapping is heaven of course... In 2012 a newer Fodera bridge and a set of brandnew tuning machines had been installed as well as a Pope preamp. An Ebony ramp has been added too. Not available anymore !
14. Thanks Gilles, I appreciate your comment as you know this bass quite well...:-)
15. Bass is on hold now.
16. Thanks Denis :-) The sound even tops the look ! I remember I have a nice record with this bass somewhere - will post it here as soon as I found it.
