This was formerly mine and I can confirm that this is an outstanding sounding and playing Smith bass ! If you can manage its weight or play mostly sitting down in studio - give it a try. You won't be disappointed !
Bump for an amazing bass and a great seller !
Good luck Denis !
Hi,
Sorry, only brands/models I would consider for trades are:
pre-66 Fenders
Foderas (no NYC or Standards)
Ken Lawrence Chamberbrase
F Bass Fretless (BNF or AC)
Alleva Coppolo RA5
That's it. Probably with cash on top either way.
Nobody ??
It is a killer slap bass - explosive and responsive. Very low action ! For all who like soloing and fast runs - this is the receipt against ay further GAS !
This wonderful Alleva Coppolo is still for sale !
It is a best possible copy of a late 70s Jazz Bass - but with 5 strings. The body is slightly smaller than on regular ACs and the neck has only 4cm at the nut (yet 19mm spacing at the bridge).
Cash deals are going slow these days. So I am open now for (partial) trades. I am interested in:
pre-CBS Fenders
Interesting Foderas
Alleva Coppolo Supremes
Ken Lawrence Chamberbrases
F Bass Fretless
Don't really know when it was made. Got it aftermarket..
The Preamp was updated to the genuine Fodera Pope pre (was previously Hazlab). The bass has got a full refurbish including refret so the frets are in NEW condition.
String Spacing is 19mm (could be adjustd between 18.5 and 19.5 mm). Scale is 34".
Bump for an extraordinary bass model from one of the best luthiers on the planet........ Smith Lovers should have a look at the back of this bass. The newer models do not have this Full Through Neck anymore ...
