4. Hi all, thanks for your kind words ! The pictures look a bit green-ish. Don't know why, may be due to the dominant Buckeye top together with my yellow lights. In fact the colour of neck and ash body has been faded into a nice amber. The bass looks even better in reality than on the pics !
 5.
photobucket is set on private !!!
Sorry - it's public now :-)
 6. Fodera Emperor 5 Bolt-On - Premium Buckeye Burl Top Specs: Premium Full Buckeye Burl Top Ash Body 3-pc Maple Neck Wonderful Birdseye Maple Board 21 frets, Black Dots 35 scale String Spacing at bridge: 18,5 - 19,5 mm (now ca. 19 mm) Gold Hardware Seymour Duncan Single Coils in '70s positions Transparent Ramp and Scratchplate, removable Pope preamp, 3-Bd.-EQ Weight: 4,0 kg (!!) The top and the board look both breathtaking and the bass performs great - with the typical dominant Fodera timbre and a low action. And .. it weighs about 4kg - never seen a 35" Fodera as comfortable as this ! This bass has been played a lot for some good reason - and you can see this in several areas: The back has a serious belt buckle rash over the whole surface. The half of the body back shows some discoloration. The small exposed wood part beneath the electronics cover plate is damaged and partly gone, and the upper horn and armrest area at the top has a lot of dings - probably due to some metal rings on the arm of the player. Several cracks in the finish on the sides of the body. So it is not a presentation model, yet it looks still fine from distance and feels great. A refin would be a great idea for this instrument ! Although I leave that up to the new owner - my price reflects this of course. Bridge, tuners, knobs, electronics work fine but show some wear as well, although not as serious as the dings on the body. The neck and frets survived in good health - so as soon as you play it the worn parts are forgotten...:-). The previous owner has installed a battery compartment for easier access. The bass has been equipped now with gold Hipshot type bridge and gold tuners, it came originally with black hardware which is still available. This Fodera has a thunderous B string, deep and clear. Action is low. The bass balances well on the strap. The truss rod works perfect, all screws, frets etc. are in great working condition. This is a true workhorse for the professional and a joy to play for all low end enthusiasts ! Bass comes with no-name case. SOLD
 7. I am selling my Steinberger XL2 Bass from 1988. Specs:

Carbon Fibre Bass
24 frets
34" scale
EMG pickups (active)
Volume/Volume/Tone (passive)
Production date according to SteinbergerWorld seems to be end of '88.
Very good condition, only one minor scratch on the back. Otherwise nearly MINT in my eyes. Action is very low due to the straight neck and the frets which show very few wear. Everything works fine. Bass comes with original Steinberger gigbag which survived in MINT condition too. This is the 2nd generation of the famous Steini paddle, here with the passive tone shaping unit - similar to a Jazz Bass. I personally prefer the passive version over the active one (model name XL2A). The pickups are still active though, so a battery is required. Hard to find one in this condition and sought after by both players and collectors.

New features of the XL2 vs. the original L2
faceplate attaches from the rear
folding leg rest
logo engraved/embedded in gel coat finish
serial number stamped on bridge end of body
smaller compression fit battery cover on top corner of back w/ no printing
true double ball headpiece (single ball strings require use of an adapter)
neck profile slightly less chunky
Asking [s]1.600 GBP / 1.850 Euro[/s] 1.400 GBP / 1.600 Euro shipped within EU !! No trades. Bass is located in Duesseldorf/Germany. 9.
How much is shipping to France ?
What's your zip code / city ?
 10. Price reduced to 410 GBP or 490 Euro. Shipping to EU extra. Trades considered: Aguilar, Epifani, Vanderkley cabs or Aguilar pedals...
 11. Still for sale. Trade against an Epifani or Aguilar GS/SL 112.
 12. Still for sale or trade against a singlecut Fodera
 13. Thanks Hans ! For now I would prefer a cash sale...
 14. Up ! This bass is not only visually stunning. It is the best 4 strings I had and kept besides my selected old Fender Jazz Basses. I had some F basses before which tended to be a bit shy in the mix, but this one cuts like a knife. Slapwise it delivers the Marcus' 70s thing very easily, plus it has a true passive option which provides the typical Jazz bass growl. Very very nice !
 15. No. But I have a TC Helicon bag - like new. That is only slightly smaller than the original bag, but the amp fits perfect. I would sell that for 20 Euro firm plus shipping.
