I'm not from Colchester... As there are no existing scratch plate holes i'd go No Plate and enjoy ya extra 30% free wood... If there were holes it would be clear or black for me... I'm not realy a Tortoise kinda guy... looks muddy messy to my eye... screams 'could do with a good clean' Quite possibly due to me being colour blind and the mix of colours, i may percieve it quite different from others?

Instead of foam could you not use springs under the pickup ears? I likes a rear route... Nice wood body... Danish oil rather than stain? I would be having a word with the body manf regarding the P route. what make and model pickup were they routed for? You may need some extra clearance if you want the halves of the P to 'crown' angle up, then down to follow the strings, following the fretboard radius. how about the J fit?

I likes the SR's mine is 2010... Recomend ya check out the Ibanez Site, and the archive catalogues on the support pages for spec... SR Barts are Split Coil in a Soapbar... So reverse P... Bit P bit PJ... eBay one @£400 is 2018 https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/sr600_07.html http://www.hoshinogakki.co.jp/pdf/ibanez/catalog/2018EU.pdf The RD looks more 'Rayesque shape and with a Music Man style Bucker at the bridge, Maybe Jazz style but poss stack wound bucker at the front. eBay one Maybe 2015 from serial number Dont spose ya fancy a spot of Strange? Ibby EDA900?

https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/model/sr/ New Models? Ibby now list a new SR600, Old ones of which there were a couple of variants, mainly without Mid Freq Switch, 2 position Switch (like my 2010) then 3 Position Switch. like this https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/sr600_07.html : Ibanez do some lovely flamboyant finishes, and some lovely wood on the more expensive models - but i just love the plain natural... was the only finish available on these variants. The 400 has a different neck, and Powerspan pickups and is basically a pretty SR300 - (QM Quilted Mapel top...) The 500 and 600 has the longer tang neck made from different woods and different bridge. The 500 gets Okoume body n plainish finish, with Bartolini pups The 600 gets Ash in a fancier finish and swaps the Barts for Nords... Neck profiles are all the same Ibby Skinny...
