1.
Right, I'm on it now - this better be good
So do I now mate
 2. If you have, check out Lello Panico and the Fritz gang (Album, Out of the blue). For me some excellent quality music, kind of Jazzy, Bluesy and Swingy stuff with some rather lovely bass playing from Tim Fritz (also the singer and plays a Jazz). Definately worth a listen folks.
 3. Guys, Would highly recommend Stringbusters. Placed my order at 1532 yesterday and they're now on the P bass - AWESOME!!! Will post back once I've got everything set up and gigged (next Sat).
 4.
When you change the singer the band changes, it can’t be helped. If you find someone then the rest of the band should have the decency to try them out. It sounds to me like you need to find the best singer of the lot and build a new band around the two of you and leave the other losers behind.
+1 mate....time to bale!!!
 5.
Your welcome. I've since checked the La Bella catalogue and their are six (not four) varieties of 760s. I missed out 760FXL (extra light) and 760FS (standard) but I've never seen either of those for sale.
Hey folks, anyone in the market for Labellas give stringbusters a look- cheapest I could find and plenty of selection.
 6. SOLD!!! Ordering tonight...will post back once I've got them on. Thanks so much folks.
 7. is that what you're currently using mate?
 8. Hiya folks; I'm giving some serious thought to putting flats on my 73 P bass, with Labella deep talkin leading the way. However, I see that there are deep talkin 'original 54's' and the regular deep talkin range. Is the difference just the guage? or is it something else? Love the idea of a Jamerson/Duck Dunn sound coming out of my rig so the heavier 'original 54's' are winning me over. I'm Playing in a 50's/60's rock and roll band at the moment so the elixirs are proving to be just a little too modern sounding. Guide me folks, guide me. thanks.
 9.
I've got a Hartke PRO 2200 2X12" cab I've been gigging for years and I would never describe it as shy with the low frequencies. I think it must have been some other factor in that instance.
+1, I play in a 50s/60's rock and roll covers band (Chuck Berry and the like), and the lows are more than deep enough.
 10.
Is the valve ok?
The one area I havent checked out yet mate. After just over 1 years use, I'd really hope so.... Will check it out.
 11. Hiya Folks, Gigged again last night, this time with the Precision, and after thinking I'd nailed the problem down to the Jazz electrics....... the same bloody problem came back!!! However, this time I had a bit of a play with the amp settings. I reduced the low contour to zero and then back to where I had it set and the feedback very nearly disappeared. Has anyone who has had experience of, or currently owns a Hartke 3500 head, had a problem with the contouring side of things? I use the graphic to slightly boost the low and high freq's and use the low and high contour to dial in my tone. This problem has just started and I'm hoping that something isn't breaking down in the amp. Any ideas what I do next folks?
 12.
Just out of your price range mate, but for £2000 you can get one of these...... http://www.www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guita...BZII_6_Nat.html
But failing that, second hand would be the way to go.

 14.
I like a playable bass that sounds great. If it fails either of these, what't the point in having it...? That said, I'm almost totally immune the the effects of different neck profiles. My J and P are polar opposites, but I adapt to whichever no problem.
+1 Played a precision for 20 years and more recently a jazz - chalk and cheese in terms on neck size/playability, but somehow my playing style alters slightly to compensate and I don't really feel the difference.
 15. In chronological order of influence... 1) Duck Dunn 2) Marcus Miller 3) Michael Rhodes 4) Roscoe Beck
 16.
Eliminate first.... try a different bass/amp/lead to establish where the fault lies. Go from there...
Thanks mate. Again, done on Sunday - tried my precision and all was well. Tried a different lead with the Jazz - problem still existed. Positive it's the guitar. The guy who built it is on hol for a couple of weeks so will get it sorted when returns....the precision will get a few more outings in the meantime.
 17.
It sounds like your bass may have an earthing issue - I'd look for a loose connection under the control plate.
Thanks for that mate. Checked that out on Sunday - all appears OK. Taking it to the builder tomorrow to hopefully get sorted. Will post back the result. Thanks mate.
 18. Hiya all, Played a gig on Saturday night and noticed some feedback coming from my cab. Never had this before and it was very faint so just thought that I was picking up a dodgy light somewhere, but I have since found that the slight feedback noise is still there in the house and that I also have a bit of a crackle from the blend pot on my Frankenjazz. I'm running a Harke 3500a with a pro series 2x12 cab. All of my leads are really good quality, and as suspected after trying some others, the problem still exists. The other thing I noticed which may sound a bit bonkers, is that when my wedding ring touches a string I can hear a crackle, almost exactly the same sound the blend pot is making. I'm still here to type this message, so I'm guessing that the thing wasn't live, but it does have me worried. Can anyone help with ideas/advice? Thanks in advance.
 19. Hiya folks, This is going on Ebay later today folks. Anyone interested drop me a message. Thx, Drew
 20.
Got any idea of the weight of this?
Hiya Chris, havent got any scales I'm afraid but I'm guessing around 13kg ish.

 22. Hiya guys, I'm finding myself desperately craving a Fender Roscoe Beck (5 string ideally), but in all honesty the only realistic way I could get one is through the sale of my 73 Precision (or so my Wife says!!!!). I've just had a lovely Jazz copy built for me which sounds fab, but I still find myself seriously GASing for a Roscoe. I see me having 2 options... - sell the precision and buy the Roscoe - try and obtain some Roscoe beck electrics and see what they do to my jazz (like finding a Yeti in the back yard...proving hard to find!!!) I've got a lot of history with the precision, having owned it for best part of 20 years, but there just comes a time....... any advice or direction any of you wonderful people can offer?
 23. Hiya, 1st dibs on the ON HOLD Strat Body in metallic ish wine ( alder i believe ).....if it doesn't go. Should I be lucky, how much for this one mate?
