1. Hee hee, wont take it too personally then! Glad yous liked it, I love hard rock, its just cool! and would love to have a band to play these kind of tunes with! Cheers for the comments, a wee bit of encouragement and constructive criticism is great so I know what to work on for the next time!
2. I assume nobody liked it then!
3. Thats cool! Really enjoyed that! learning it by ear is rather impressive must've taken a fair while?
Pick us up a few hundred Japanese Fender basses whilst you are there?
Lol, yeah I wish! ... if I have enough spending money!
Are Mr Big like a Bad News for the 2000's?
Errr Mr Big are from late 80s early 90s? And pretty sure they're not a spoof rock band! Where'd you get that from?
6.
Mr Big When can I pick up my prize?
Anytime! Whats your address and I'll send it down! Yes it is Mr Big!!! 7. Hey everyone, thought I'd just drop a message to tell you about my accidental purchase yesterday ... A holiday to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan in June finishing with a concert at the Budokan on June 20th! First one to guess/work out who I'm going to see will win an air BASS guitar! Tom
8.
Hey Mev is a great guy but talking to him he doesn't know that much about electronic instruments comparedto others. Live music/scayles Ive never used. Red dog is a great place but the tech guy is a grumpy so and so who is only there on certain days. I recommend and use guitarguitar. They are nice there. Luke
Perfect answer! Cheers! Will probably give Derek a shout, and by an extra big jar of Kenco really rich now though!
9. Cheers for your replies ... yeah I used to go to live music for my previous guitars, but my mate had a bad experience with the new tech there recently, so was just finding out if there was anywhere people recommended or anywhere where people had bad experiences so I can avoid!
10. Congrats and good luck for Friday fella!
11. Hey everyone! This question is for anyone who has had their bass set-up in Edinburgh! ... where do you go? And is there anywhere I should really avoid?! Cheers! Tom
12. yeah defo have to agree that the recording isn't very good, just really a way of getting the songs down! Glad you liked the content though! shall have to try and re-record at some point with some better equipment!! Cheers for the comments!
13.
Good effort - very Opeth - I was waiting to hear the vocal..... I enjoyed the solo too.
Ha ha, my normal vocals aren't very good let alone trying to roar! lol Glad you liked it will work on them tho, and maybe record the vocals too!
14. Yeah I use these too! the only problem I had was my jackson had gigantic buttons, which meant i couldnt get the locks on! But they work fine! also agree with the point of view that if one fails the guitar is still on the strap!
15.
2x 4x10s are too heavy! Dog and Duck? Next Saturday - but I won't be using this rig. This is my bedroom rig.
I didn't think it was ridiculous until that comment! ... This is my bedroom rig ha ha ha ... cool rig though... wish I'd got 2 2x10cabs ... 4x10 is just too bulky and heavy to be able to do by yourself!
16. hey everyone! Just to let you know I've put a new recording on my myspace .... www.myspace.com/silky13music ... the new song is "prototype" (im sorry had run out of inspiraton for a name!) Its pretty cool... if you knew I like Opeth and Porcupine tree, you might tell where most of my inspiration came from!! The guitar solo is really sweet IMO, fits really well! Cheers, Tom p.s. I did everything so you can blame me for everything
17. another one for Pat Badger! Seen Extreme on the last tour and he was great, so tight, just what the band needs! as for my personal underrated band... Symphony X (my favourite band) and they're current bassist Mike Lepond ... I've only seen them twice, because they're not big enough to do a full headline tour of UK, but each time they were amazingly tight, while putting on an awesome show! Better than Dream Theater IMO! Oh and of course my current band is far too underrated

Bought a rack compressor off Oli, was a great fella to deal with and it all seems to work fine so I'm very happy! Cheers!

21. +2 on the bass check I always spend ages trying out basses, I like to have a good look around it to make sure it looks good and is good quality, then play the open strings a bit, then usually play a few warm up exercises that are difficult to see what the neck is like and how comfortable the guitar is to play. Then I play some basic bass lines, while changing the tone settings. That way i know it's going to suit what i play in the band. Then finally i have fun and play some metal tunes like Wrathchild and Peace Sells so I know i can play the stuff i like to play at home! But like what's been said before it didn't take me long at all to fall in love with my current bass... I loved the finish and as soon as i picked it up it felt right!
22. ditto!! I've just added you! Gotta stick together! Tom
