1. Hey guys!! I am after a little bit of help with making a bit of an intro for our band's new live set! The band is called Driller, and so true to the name we want to make an intro that is a mixture of building site pneumatic drill and electric drill sounds which can then merge into the note of our first song (which starts on D flat). Anyway I thought there must be someone on here that will know how you could make an intro like this!? And then once we've made one, how would we play it back just before we go on stage and play the first song!? Cheers in advance! Silky

At the moment I'm only along in Peebles so I would be up for shooting along to this!
6. Oooh that is lovely, I'm really fancying a japanese precision! I tried a fair few when I was over in Japan, some brand new and some about 10years old and every single one felt "right" so I dont think you can go far wrong with a jap precision! Enjoy it!
7. Cool website!! And Yeah there's tonnes of Billy's gear! Crazy, maybe one day one of mine will be there fetching lots of money!
8. hey man! welcome to bass chat! Where abouts in Scotland do you stay!? ... there are some good action pictures in there!

10. Ashevans ... 7 nights in tokyo is probably enough... I didnt see all of what it had to offer, however i went a couple of nights, which wrote of the mornings so could have seen more, saw plenty of temples, shrines, parks and modern shops etc, which is what tokyo is all about (i think) If you are travelling in Japan, I visited a town outside tokyo called kamakura which was really nice for a day trip with loads of old temples and a big buddha! Errm Tokyo is really easy to navigate, get a day ticket for the underground for 1000yen and you're sorted, you can literally see all of the city in a day, just very quickly! Oh and the place i stayed, which was absolutely brilliant was Ace Inn, Shinjuku (its right above a station and about 20mins walk from the imperial palace so good place to stay! ) geilerbass ... I was very lucky, last year I met a girl from Japan who visited UK just to see 3 gigs of Def Leppard so she arranged the tickets for Mr Big! So I didnt have to learn Japanese! Soulfinger ... Sadly my money could not stretch to a new bass, since I'd bought one just before i left, however I tried so many! There are so many amazing music shops out there, literally one whole street that had about 10 on it ... but thats not the best bit, the best bit is that most shops have as many if not more bass guitars than kead guitars!! which makes a change!! Prices are crazy as well, very much dependant on trends i think... in one shop there was a japanese p-bass for about 350quid (cheap I thought) and a yamaha attitude for 1700quid (expensive I thought) Anyway, yeah budokan was a cool venue! The crowd were going crazy! Cant wait to see them in London now! Tom p.s. ... im glad nothing changes then rslaing
11. hey!! i promised i would come on here and let you guys know how my trip to japan to see Mr Big went and all i can say is that it was truely amazing!! probably my favourite place in the whole world!! I saw Mr Big on their second last show there in Tokyo at the budokan and oh my god what a show it was!! They were on top form and tight as! Well impressed and really pleased i went! If anyone is considering London for Mr Big, do it! They are on it! So what has been happening lately, have three weeks of catching up to do! Tom
12. I was hoping for around £250?
13. arrw! I didnt think this would have too much interest... I guess its staying... I'll try a quick Bump anyway?
14. Hey guys, since I have now moved from metal to more hard rock in my new band I am considering selling my jackson Kelly bass in transparent crimson... It has active duncan designed humbuckers and 3band eq, which for metal absolutely pump! I got it for 300quid easily 5years ago and since I have just got another bass this isn't going to get used often enough to warrant having it, so if there is someone who fancies it then make me an offer! I'm not in a major hurry to sell, but I will for the right price! I must stress this doesnt have a case, which is partly due to the size of the thing (because it is basically an elongated explorer with a pointy headstock) and also it has a few knocks and chips on the points. So with this in mind PM offers if you fancy a look, also I am based in Edinburgh and since it doesnt have a case don't fancy shipping it! Cheers! Tom

16.
Whaddya mean? please tell me more... to call sheehan thick because he is a scientologist is a bit out of place Mr Thisnameistaken! people have a right to chose what they believe in whether it be aliens or god or drugs or booze or whatever! if you still persist in him being thick then for a thick man he well respected and has made a fair amount of money doing his thing! and, I'd rather be thick than judgmental! andy
I'm going over to Japan to see them play at the Budokan on 20th June! Obviously not going just for them, but its another good reason to go to Japan!
17. Ahhhh!! I cant wait to see them next month now!!
18. Hee hee, wont take it too personally then! Glad yous liked it, I love hard rock, its just cool! and would love to have a band to play these kind of tunes with! Cheers for the comments, a wee bit of encouragement and constructive criticism is great so I know what to work on for the next time!
19. I assume nobody liked it then!
20. Thats cool! Really enjoyed that! learning it by ear is rather impressive must've taken a fair while?
Are Mr Big like a Bad News for the 2000's?
Errr Mr Big are from late 80s early 90s? And pretty sure they're not a spoof rock band! Where'd you get that from?
23.
Mr Big When can I pick up my prize?
Anytime! Whats your address and I'll send it down! Yes it is Mr Big!!! I can't wait! I seen Billy at a workshop in Glasgow last year and now I just cant wait to see the whole band! And thats not even the best bit of the trip!
24. Hey everyone, thought I'd just drop a message to tell you about my accidental purchase yesterday ... A holiday to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan in June finishing with a concert at the Budokan on June 20th! First one to guess/work out who I'm going to see will win an air BASS guitar! Tom
25.
Hey Mev is a great guy but talking to him he doesn't know that much about electronic instruments comparedto others. Live music/scayles Ive never used. Red dog is a great place but the tech guy is a grumpy so and so who is only there on certain days. I recommend and use guitarguitar. They are nice there. Luke
Perfect answer! Cheers! Will probably give Derek a shout, and by an extra big jar of Kenco really rich now though!
