  1. Agree, reminds me a bit of the "artist" who was asked to design a statue of Ronaldo and came up with this:
  2. I recently got a PSA myself. Great pedal. The 49 presets are already providing one with a huge variety of sounds. Each preset can then be tweaked with the numerous knobs (e.g., punch, crunch, buzz). GLWTS πŸ‘
  3. This really is a great bargain. I guess the COL crisis is keeping us from pulling the trigger. GLWTS πŸ‘
  4. Exactly. I got the bass from the Bass Hunter in Japan. So far, he managed to find "one" replacement knob. I asked him to keep on looking for a second one and then send me both together to save postage costs. Well, I don't need them anymore but whoever buys the BB, now you know that you only need to find one πŸ™‚ Please feel free to write to Danny if you want the knob. I paid for it (Β₯2,154, March this year) and I am happy to donate it to the new owner of my BB. Merry Christmas πŸŽ„
  5. Can't be! Obviously, Alan Rickman would have played a Rickenbacker. Ok, probably wise for me to leave this thread now πŸ™‚
  6. Go for it. It is a great bass. You can haggle a bit too: The knobs are not the original ones!
  7. That's hilarious. The band name, the clothes, the hairstyles. Would love to check them out on YT, but I am concerned that when I type in their band name, I will then be bombarded with certain ads and if my wife sees them, she will get concerned πŸ˜‰
  8. The only Christmas Nr 1 I really liked:
  9. Congrats! I am sure you will enjoy it. I recently owned its sibling in the sunburst finish, also from 78. Great bass with lots of oomph. Unfortunately, I recently had to sell it to pay some bills. Sad but true 😞 Maybe someone here got it (sold it via BassBros). Whoever got it - you got yourself a great bargain!
  10. Happy to pay you 50p, won't even haggle, because it's Christmas time. Shall I send you my address for delivery? πŸ˜‰
  11. The most expensive bass ever sold at auction for $496,100 Like yours from 78. https://www.rollingstone.co.uk/music/news/paul-mccartneys-bass-is-now-the-most-expensive-ever-sold-at-auction-8202/
  12. I am sure Fender will eventually release an American Pro 11 but at the moment we are still only at nr 2 (II) πŸ˜‰ BTW, there is no Ultra II, at least not at the moment, maybe you know more than us (NAMM is around the corner so maybe you have some insider intel :-). There is a Vintera II and an American Vintage II though.
  13. I am confident that in one universe of the multiverse, this makes perfect sense.
  14. I also think Sterling by Music Man should reach out to Sting and offer him a Ray 34 as a signature bass. Would then be the Sting Ray 34. 😜 Ok, ok, I better go πŸ˜‰
  15. Not to mention that there was also a US made Music Man SUB and a Music Man S.U.B.
  16. Ok, I'll better go offline before it gets worse πŸ™‚
  17. BTW, the photo only shows 4 strings. Where is the 5th? Or do they only put it on at the till? πŸ€ͺ
  18. Talk you OUT of it? Really? You do know that you are on Basschat here, so the least you can expect is that we'll do our very best to talk you INTO it πŸ˜‰
  19. Is it possible to see some photos of the back of the bass please? What is the weight? Cheers!
  20. Yes, he mentions it in this video (2:42). Let's hope that Spector brings back the previous model (with or without the J). The current signature model is a limited edition anyway, to celebrate 50 years of JP (well, the 50th anniversary was in 2019). That's why it has the big inlay. https://www.spectorbass.com/product/euro4-ian-hill/
  21. That's how his previous PJ version looked like. I guess I have to try and find one now!
  22. Sorry, Dave 😝
  23. Cool looking bass. Reminds me a bit of the bass that this random bloke is playing here πŸ˜‰ GLWTS πŸ‘
