I've heard good stuff about the Carvins, especially for the price.

Even speakers that are the same size can have phase issues together.

I haven't seen Alex make any outlandish claims about his cabs, bigfatbass.

The Double Midget looks like it's going to be [i]really[/i] good. I'd wait for one of them myself (which I am doing ).

Hartke LH500 or a Markbass LMII.

How's the T'DM coming along Alex?

If you want it to be very loud, you may want to consider a more powerful head than the LMII. Either that or get a Barefaced Double Midget, which is a great deal more sensitive than the Big One.

I should imagine the Shuttle 9.0 would be good with T'Double Midget. It's got the power to boost the bass right up. By the way, how's that going?

This is such a good price. I was going to buy a Markbass F1, but for 80 quid more I get 400W more power at 4 ohms!

How much was it? If you don't mind me asking. edit: It seems to be £679 from Bass Direct.

Unintentional baffle pun? Also, I think you need all the various measurements of the box to choose the right driver.

GS cabs are supposed to have a bit of a mid scoop, whilst the DBs are a bit more prominent in the mids.

Remember that speaker size only affects dispersion. It doesn't affect tone.
