1. Will this cab have 2 speakon jacks or just the one? Put me down anyway - Wallasey, Wirral.
2. £600 is a decent price for a new F1 I think. Also, the F500 is only worth it if you need that extra control with the EQ or maybe a mute switch.
3. A bit OT, but I always feel so awkward trying out gear in shops. I end up so distracted by this that I get no benefit from it.
4. If you've played and liked the LMIII - buy it. They're cracking amps.
5.
The specs are all on www.barefacedbass.com
This is an old one so the weight is different.
6.
>Check out these videos by KJung on Talkbass.... Although he says that all the amps are flat, I think he must mean that all the tone controls are set to zero, because the only one that sounds flat to me is the TC. The Mark Bass sounds mildly scooped with some HF lift and a depressed LF. The Puma sounds as if there is an excess of lower mids. Depends on the cab, of course, and I'm assuming that the Bergantino is relatively uncoloured.
The LMII is actually pretty much exactly flat with all of the controls at noon.
7. The Big One would work fine with a LMII @ 6 ohms. That said, if you want to go really loud, you'd probably want to put more power into a Big One than the LMII can provide.
8. Is the Barefaced Midget small enough?
9. It'll be fine so long as you're sensible with the volume knob.
10. If you liked the Markbass rig, go for it. There's nothing wrong with it that would make it a terrible purchase.
11. Oh right. Yeah you could do it. It's probably not worth it, but you never know.
12. If it's 4 ohm then you can't make it 2 ohm at all. Even if you could, it would probably be of little benefit. Edit: Do you mean that the cab overall is a 4 ohm load or that each individual speaker is 4 ohm?
13. I think it just shows that people have different tastes. There are plenty of people who hold onto these amps.
14.
If you like the sound as it is, but want louder, get another the same. A 15 underneath will probably not do much more than a crate of equal height, cause 15s don't move as much air and will probably do less with the power.
+1 If you like your tone, but want more volume, get another of the same.
15. Providing that the two 210s were identical together as the 410 then I'd go with the 210s so I could stack them vertically.
16. I believe there is a reasonable difference in terms of sound. From what I've heard from people who've used both the F1 has tighter lows, a bit more upper mids and highs and generally sounds "quicker" or more modern than the LMII. The LMII is supposed to be warmer and more "old school" in comparison. Also, check on Talkbass, becuase I know for sure that there are loads of threads on this topic there.
17. I think stuff like the LMII or F1 would still be popular. Good sounding heads IMO; people don't love them just because of the size (though that is nice).
18. A single Barefaced Midget should be pretty loud by itself.
19. What about the Barefaced Midget? It seems to be voiced well for rock.
