  1. I just made myself sick by going back and figuring out what this bass cost new. $250.00 US total w/ hardshell case. It was a Christmas present from mum&dad. With trade of my Fender Mustang guitar orange w/ red racing stripe. I eventually sold it to a friend for $200. Then I looked at what people are asking for in the used/vintage market. Seriously I would like to have one, but it wouldn't be worth more than $500 to me. I know how it played and what it sounded like. I can get that out of my $200 ESP LTD. Nostalgia is weird.
  2. Every player on BassChat no matter what type of music you play. Go right now and check out Gentile Giant. Ray and the band are some of the most articulate and happy music ever played. Brain melting indeed.
  3. I know a guy here in the states, left his Rick in the back seat of his car. When he got back to his car, he saw the back window had been broken. As he approached the car, he saw in the back seat two Ricks.
  4. I can't believe Dad3353 beat me to the "28" joke. I read this whole thread to make sure no one had done any "number" jokes. Oh, wait! 86753o9. I hate that number.
  5. You're thinking of the new Fender Waterboard. Made in the States, tho no-one knows where, and gets to the truth. Although it may be just what you "want" to hear.
  6. I just bought the new Fender Midscoop Bass. Whoops. Wrong thread.
  7. This is really great! (for putting my f*cking sheets on). Lots of weird noises?
  8. Nick is cheating he has bass pedals too.
  9. I saw a picture of Garry Tallent playing a Longhorn Bass w/ Springsteen and thought, "So THAT'S how he does those 4 hour shows." Seriously my Longhorn weighs nothing as long as you don't mind sounding like surf music all the time. It does cut thru though.
  10. Hey! He plays something between 1:34-1:37. And the guitarist is not in tune, what do you expect?
  11. "with" . He doesn't play the fretless in this video.
  12. Whoops. Not very good at this adding files thing. But that's funny. Seriously I have bass in 4ths/bass in 5ths on one neck and I can play any of the strings with both hands. Emmett Chapman might have been on to something...
  13. My first bass. It's a Jazz sunburst tort maple neck / the big block inlays. '73.
  14. Double-neck?
  15. Double-neck?
  16. " I built my own bass!" And when he said he spent his first check on "a couple of amps and a fuzz box" my gf just laughed...
  17. We are binge-watching. Aw c'mon the songs sound like Fleetwood Mac. Like all the Stevie/Lindsey prattle all at the same time in one song. Catchy.
  18. Alas. No one gets my jokes.
  19. The poor lass on keys didn't get enough camera time. My opinion.
  20. Wow. I've never seen a Fender Bass with the Invisible finish.
  21. She's great! I love the enthusiasm. It's nice to have parents with a studio and instruments laying around. My Dad sang, but he picked up a Roberts reel-to reel (with Sound-On-Sound!) that he recorded his choral groups with, and I had that to screw around with. When I asked for a guitar, I got one. BUT YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE LESSONS. "OK." When I decided I wanted to play bass (heehee), we traded in the guitar, and I got a bass. BUT YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE LESSONS. I have my parents to thank for a lifetime of enjoyment.
  22. Pink-Eyed Lady - Sugarloaf
