1. That's what I'm getting! And according to the tracker, it's being delivered today -- so excited I can barely sit still
 2.
You don't really get the whole pre-judging thing, do you? Where's the fun in waiting to see some results and reaching an informed conclusion?
3.
Firstly I'm guessing Bluejay is a sensible person Secondly I'm guessing the BC heads are informed and will agree to whatever it is Bluejay is going to do Fourthly therefore we should wait and see what happens before being to cynical Someone think of a thirdly please
Thirdly, cake.
 4.
The 5 string swamp ash jazz is on my GAS list Sell my Fender Classic 60 jazz for the Sire 5 string jazz?
In (hopefully) a few short days i'll be able to let you know just how good, or not, the swamp ash 5 string Sire is
 5. I can hardly see that Bluejay will be lifting posts wholesale and stuffing the column full of members' utterings/pics without their agreement. References to 'lazy journalism' are a bit unfair when nothing has even been written yet. I can't see how this can be anything other than good exposure for BC, and I second Skank's comments. Here is a cake to say 'nice one'
 6. Alternatively, get the neck p/u cavity routed to take a P p/u and have a custom pickguard made? Ok so it'd be a PJ rather than just a P, but any P is better than none
 7.
uptown funk
Me too.
 8. Absolutely superb review, you should do this for a living. Joel, are you reading this? My swamp ash 5 string is in transit somewhere and I am even more eager to get my hands on it now! Sounds like the only mod I will need to consider is perhaps some Hipshot Ultralite tuners? Anything less would be an insult I think!
 9. Nice as the OP is, this is the Status doubleneck to have... And here, in action...
 10. I finally gave in yesterday and pulled the trigger. Swamp ash 5 string, sunburst with pearl plate and maple neck. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on it
 11. One of my mates reckons he bought a Bronner once, and that it was fairly dreadful -- sounded awful from the word go and just wouldn't stop no matter what he did. He says for a lot less money he could have got a shaved chimp that would have been just as good. EDIT. Sorry, that should have been 'Beemer'.
 12. As any fule kno, the best cheese choice is Yarg for classic rock and YAAAARRRRG! for death metal.
 13. IMHO, this entire endless bloody yarn can be summed up in these two tiny snip-ettes:
It's all down to personal choice in the end.
and
There are more important things. Like chocolate and vodka. And boobies.
[/thread]
 14.
Is that the one that led to the Great DairyLea Migration of 2007? Ah! the foolishness.
You do remember it. Aye it was carnage. For those who don't remember, a newbie asked if Laughing Cow or Philadelphia Light was best for metal. Within 48 hours, all hell broke loose -- someone took out a contract on Ped, three fake Rickenbackers were sold, there was an armed siege in Doncaster, Nigel swore a lot and threatened to leave... madness, I tells ya.
 15.
Or more importantly biscuits
Pah. We're onto spreadable cheese now. This is where the thread really gets nasty. Anyone remember the Laughing Cow Flame Wars of 2006?
 16.
I do think that for the 1500 price tag of a Ric you can get more bass for your money from other brands
Really? You might have said.
 17.
I'm just sharing my opinion.

Job done. Make yourself a nice cup of coffee to celebrate
Yes, job done. Again and again, repeatedly, ad nauseum. Seriously, we get it. You don't like Ricks and think they're a waste of money. Message received.
 18. That's odd. I could have sworn YOU said "If his first albums had been terrible - there wouldn't be a thread in his name on here would there?". No mention there of popularity or success. Or maybe you DO think there's a direct link between fame and talent? Oh, and the reason I titled this thread "Kanye West" was simply that I couldn't be arsed to type "That guy who made an arse of himself at the Grammys".
 19. Blimey, talk about a zombie thread... nearly 3 years
Nothing sounds like a Ken Smith ... really, it's the best bass ever built, nothing is comparable
While the first bit may be true, the second & third bits are entirely subjective really. 100 people would tell you 100 different things.
 20. I believe the word used was 'terrible' and hence referring to quality, not success. It has been argued many times on many different threads here over the years, that famous/successful does not automatically mean good/great. For example: 1 Direction's first two albums have both outsold the highest selling classical music album of all time ('Carreras Domingo Pavarotti in Concert'). Does that make them musically superior?
 21.
I thought he was being discussed on here because of his overinflated ego.
22. Oh FGS. No, I'm not. You said "If his first albums had been terrible - there wouldn't be a thread in his name on here would there?", and in reply I am pointing out that the two do not go hand in hand; just because we are talking about him on here, at length, does not automatically make his first albums the work of greatness.
 23.
TBH a Kanye show is better than most rock bands headlining a festival. How many people have seen a Kanye live set? Typical BC - no previous experience but will judge anyway.
I can only assume that you have seen every rock band in the world, if you know that a Kanye show is better than most of them? Or are you just judging..?
