1. Set of slightly used La Bella flats just purchased - nice smooth transaction. TOP MAN.
2.
Anyone know what the controls are? I'm guessing the knobs are vol and tone, with the slider thingy for blend?
Correct!
3. Allparts have black control plates - and in stock now!! If a stock scratchplate is not available I could make one by copying your existing white version. PM me if need a quote.
4.
I think that it's very ugly, but interesting in a historical context.
So am I.
5. There would have originally been a 'smoked' perspex bridge cover which was kept in place by being wedged in by the string retainy thingies.
6. Do you think that when Norman bumps into Keith Richard they both comment on how well the other one looks?
7. Do we have a price for this bass? (on the other subject, I have a prototype chocolate frog in..........wait for it.................................................................. ..................................................Blonde!!!! - but I'm not selling)
8. Nice smooth deal with Rich on a 51 style P-bass pickup - SPLENDID chap and we'll probably deal again.
9. Somewhere in the big wide world there is a photograph of the Beach Boys in their early days and it shows Brian Wilson using the headstock strap button on his light blue 60s P-bass. Can anyone find that pic?
10. Hi there from another oldie (first paying gig 1964). I've got a 1962 Jazz but it's modified and probably not worth as much as yours - photograph would be interesting - it's our idea of porn on here.
11. pics as requested of MM and no-name 5 string pick ups
12. If there's no gap when you press 'top and bottom' you can't even be sure the neck is straight or has a 'back bow' - just off straight is a better test unless of course you can 'sight' the degree of bend in the neck and then you you need to check the truss rod can do it's job.
13. And Y-fronts at that.
14. You're right - it's pants.
15.
I can only apologise again - Maybe I'm at fault for inviting the deals to be done via PM and perhaps the Mods should give some guidance on this. I decided to use what I call 'old rules' that is the first guy with the money gets them. I will reiterate my apologies by PM! H.
16.
I'll take them anyway.......... D.
So sorry mate another Basschatter confirmed payment just minutes before you. H.

18.
ARE YOU GOING TO RESIGN
Well early retirement does have a certain appeal but I'm an obstinate beggar (I bet TB is laughing all the way home but of course once he gets there there's CB to face and that must be enough to wipe any smile off) Right no more politics - on with the sale.

20. Yup - Beedster's yer man - that's the very same type of head I was able to supply a little while back.
21.
"The tape isn't necessary however I feel it adds more character to the guitar"
As mentioned on the parallel thread I've got two rolls of character in my workshop if anyone wants to add to their bass - it comes in two widths - £1.00 per inch for the narrow stuff and £1.50 for the wider version. Also Gaffa tape for those seeking a stronger character - price on application.
22. But the the tape adds character - I've got two rolls of character in a draw if anyone wants some - and in a choice of widths!
