1. Got a goody bag of useful spares from Gaf. Splendid chap to deal with.
2. Any undue force either by mallet or clamp ain't a good idea. I've seen a fair number of cracked headstocks caused this way. Just use a round file to open up the hole a tad, trying a push fit after each pass. Hand pressure only should be sufficient.
3. Still [s]abailavle avbailab alvail[/s] here.
4.
flats. They should be wrapped in cotton wool.
No, I think you can get a dedicated mute for that purpose.
5. I bought a Stingray in 1978 and it came with factory fitted flatwounds so Uncle Leo must have thought they suited. Perhaps Ernie Ball flats would be contenders.
6. I may be able to help with the E string tuner. What happens when you take the tape off?
7. Couple of enquiries but it's still here. Offers will be listened to.
8.
Wow, if I hadn't just... wait, so you've got an unexpectedly large car, Uncle..?
Well I think it's normal size but apparently when Mrs. BD was trying to reverse park it seems it turned out to be unexpectedly large. If only everything I had that was of use to Mrs. BD turned to be unexpectedly large (will discreet kindly resist making any further connection with 'reverse parking')
9. Recently bought by me as a favour for a pal whose playing days are over. First instinct was to keep it as it sounds immense. However an unexpectedly large car repair bill means it will have to go. Condition?.....AS NEW! Apologies for the poor quality phone pics but the camera is on the blink. 10.
Hi, Do you still have the the DD Jazz pair and/or the DM bridge available? I'm local (Newcastle) so could collect and ditch the P&P. Thanks, Gareth
Hi Gareth, the DD pair definitely available - the bridge pickup depending on Jeff's reply to the above.
11.
Howard do you still have a Jazz bridge pup for sale? Cheers Jeff
Hi Jeff. Which bridge pickup are you interested in, the Aerodyne or the DiM?
12. 2nd set of EMGs sold. People are obviously buying in the order I have listed, so now waiting for the guy who wants to transform an Epiphone EB into the real deal with the 60s Gibson mudbucker.

15. Thanks for mentioning that. I often entertain Mrs. BD by singing a version of 'You sexy thing' by Hot Chocolate but changing the opening line from 'I believe in miracles' to 'Have you seen my testicles?' Try it.... it cheers people up, honestly.
16. Completed a Westone project for Paul. A pleasure to deal with throughout and very understanding when things went slower than normal over the holiday period. Splendid chap
17. I see you've already put the Carvin up for sale. Might be a bit hasty I reckon. I have found that the excitement of aquiring a new amp often clouds the judgement at first and then the novelty wears off. In fact I'm thinking of starting a thread on the subject headed 'Getting over new amp day syndrome' GONADS
18.
perhaps I should have said audience, is there a singular for audience?
Audient - from whom you get a round of applaud.
19. Completed a refurb job on Mark's Hayman 4040 and he has been a [s]nuisance[/s] pleasure to deal with throughout the lengthy process. Nice to hear he now has a Burman stack to play it through thus completing the Geordie connection.
20. Bet he's feeling a bit like his Ebay name.
21. I'm pretty sure this was a bass commissioned by a customer of mine way back when I had the business of The Bass Place in Newcastle. Jim Cairnes built the neck and I did the rest. But no idea where it is now.
22. Oops....missed Jigster's earlier PM - Now replied. Look like a pickguard has gone astray in the Christmas post. Will get on to the local PO to make a claim.
