  1. Another trade with Ian completed…! Just such a nice fella to chat with, fair and with top quality gear! Deal with him in complete trust! See you next time eh? 😉
  2. Argh! Congrats @Thor! I know you’ve been after this for a while and got tired of waiting on the UK! Sadly I had to leg to of my WD800 since downsizing but I’m picking up the D800 this morning for what I think is a steal (£400 and a 10 min drive!). with how scarce the WD/TT are it would’ve been nice to have a chance to compare, really reckon the TT would do great if you want a channel for clean fat stuff and another for pedals and rockier grit. Enhoy! PS: I think you had had the D800, how does the range compare from your side?
  3. ... and last of the cull! I took this in part trade but I do have the Precision bass box filled. Fantastic bass, I have to say I wasn't expecting it!? These basses are nice. Jazz neck Usual alder/maple/rosewood Pretty versatile pickup, volume + tone Labella flats that do feel in really good shape 3.15KG?! There's the lightest swirl/blemish on the upper horn that DOES NOT REVEAL WOOD - I would say pretty light and can't see it from the front, not really apparent on the side either - tried in pictures but the thing is proper glossy! Very well finished and adjusted, I would definitely say Dakota Red against Fiesta Red but you can be the judge - comes with Sandberg Gigbag. Would love to keep but I need cash my way (could maaaaybe consider a bitsa J??) or preferably a JMJ, preferably blue - I'm sorted for amps cabs pedals etc.
  4. I just got this stupid light Jake 4P at 3.2kg in a trade. my first time playing a Mariszczyk, it’s so very nicely done…! Sounds great and comes with labella flats, jazz necked too. Sadly, I’ve filled my Precision allocation and will pop it in for sale - I gotta say I’m very impressed with these basses!
  5. Not the first time I hear about Barefaced making an amp, I’ve heard that for a couple years so good to see that happening finally…! it’s made me think whether I should wait for my next bass purchase but I always find them being late to my GAS need or myself being impatient lol. Would love to see and hear more, if it’s as good as the cabs they’re onto something!
  6. This is an absolute steal, makes me want to buy it even if I should really stick to a 1x12!!!! Won't see it here longer than a day or two. Damn... If I hadn't cashed out or committed to another deal... or have a bigger car... Ander.

yeah with mine at 3 o’clock I do get distortion, and same volumes (guess it depends on where you have levels and gain of side A) BUT no obliteration levels though 😅 need me some of that and that’s where I use the Hudson to crunch up loads and gets to fuzz but not the right kind of obliteration - maybe the G&P….. ah!

What is need anyway these days? Hm, interesting - I can get levels very well matched - if I had to take a gig ONLY with the Capo needing clean and dirty, I would resolve well. Gain on the A at noon, level at around 9-10, then side B cranked to 3 o'clock and level around 11 ish, if I recall well it does the both tones matches with plenty to spare if wanting a boost. I'll try a thing or two - I've the Hudson Broadcast on sale with potential sale to sort, which is perfect to 'just' thicken, but I'd hope the Motorcycle would resolve to just thicken up great also - and it has bass/treble/drive controls so it could give it a very tasty end-of-chain tone.

@MrDinsdale that’s interesting! I use the Hudson motorcycle in the pre loop, it’s kinda an overdrive-meets-preamp. I guess it’d do nice as a thickener too on the post, and force me to buy a new Ground and Pound (think Justin Chancellor) pedal I’ve seen 👀
  10. Simón bought a bridge from me - lovely chap, fast payment and an all round great experience. Would most def deal with him again!
  11. Paul is great - he bought my Squier CV and he said what he said he’d do - prompt payment and amazing communications for a handout halfway. Would love to deal with him again, enjoy the bass and nice meeting you Paul!
  12. £1600 to sort/hold today or tomorrow before it goes elsewhere. Banging, banging deal - and you know it.
  13. £8 each set, £20 the three of them. these come from basses I received and changed to my usual NYXL/Chromes so pretty much as new * fender cut Ernie Ball slinky’s, 45-100/105? * Stingray cut Ernie Ball 45-130 * pretty much uncut/new? Non curled even- DR nickel low rider 45-125 (hey I could say they’re even new?) postage on top should be a couple quid. Ander.
  14. Coming from my 2010 Fender Standard MIM below. They sound great and work in perfect order, but I just went for an EMG solderless kit for extra output so these are being taken out tomorrow - pots roll especially quick and zero rattle:
  15. haha thank you @krispn!! I'm happy to hear offers, otherwise it'd have to go soon to the Bass Gallery or similar - plus you and I are pretty close aren't we @Osiris
  16. OFF1 on hold til Friday…!
  17. Chorus gone. Shoot me an offer on the OFF1 before it goes on sale elsewhere for more? Thinking a juicy £185 if sorted this week.
  18. £110 plus postage before it goes elsewhere for more…!
  19. Thanks gents! Ready to go and squeeze the 400w out of that tube hybrid head indeed…! 3x 12AT7 in the preamp of the R400 if I’m correct
  20. Trades of interest: * Clean amp in the 7-800w realm - Mesa / Eich / Bergantino / GK potentially... 400 Watts + on 8ohm * Barefaced Big Baby 2 - metal grill preferred, w/ cover. Potentially other 1x12 in that quality range/price? Mesa? Barefaced preferred - Super Compact (T) / Super Mini (T). * Fender JMJ Blue only
  21. Sorted for basses so no more P/X...! Cash only - happy to hear offers gang! Ander.
