  1. Make me an offer or it goes tomorrow to shop....!
  2. Yan bought my P bas recently - super smooth transaction and great comms, super easy to deal with - would most definitely recommend! Ander.
  3. I can proof that a reputable bass shop would be selling it at £2300 (DM for deets if needed) so grab a good price on this beaut!
  4. Thanks Karl! A very tasty bunch of upgrades if I say so myself. A healthy 3.9kg I believe too!
  5. Hey all, Discontinued Lake Placid Blue fender here with tons of upgrades. I'm not completely sure what to ask, but can offer the breakdown: Bass: £450, (+£12 shipping) good price considering the limited availability of Lake Placid Blue! Lollipop tuners, Gotoh, £60 EMG GZR Butler pickup and electronics £80 Fender Hi Mass Bridge £25 Mint Pickguard £15 Total gets to £640 plus new strings, but with that in mind, £525 makes sense I think? Let me know otherwise. Original cream pickguard included.
  6. Here again...! £2000 Chatting with a BC friend I realised the dangerous 'I don't neeeed the money... but I don't neeeeed the bass' Note: it has now been recently set up professionally with the frets levelled and crowned - plays as good on the last fret as the first with even action. I barely play 5 strings as I do 99% of the job on my 4ers and I think I've achieved peace gear-wise and have enough to record, gig around etc, and want to move the money towards other things (regrettably I have all the expensive passions and a relatively new mortgage!), out of convenience - garden, house work, motorcycles, watches... we'll see. As it's a discontinued bass, and genuinely nice and mint, no scratches or issues, original pickguard plus pearloid, all case and candy in perfect condition... I won't budge on the asking price - last time this sold in 15 minutes at higher price back in October... ... So get your ducks in before I regret it again and pull it out or anything. I’d need a box but I can ship, at buyer's cost and risk, but can otherwise meet for sale no more than an hour from Northampton, with an odd chance to go down near London. Best, Ander.
  7. My beating heart…! This bass is definitely special and would take it back in the blink of an eye if I could…! Also coming from some of the trustiest hands in this community - you’ll miss it David! Ander.
  8. ah I had one of the first D-Roc 4's that got around here some 2-3 years ago, on the new shape which I defo preferred and that same aquamarine colour. I loved it and felt like it was a very versatile passive bass! still definitely in the rock / metal thing and didn't see myself playing it in other scenarios. Enjoy!
  9. Touchè! haha you're not wrong mate - having said that I'm just trying to diversify portfolio hahahaha I gave myself the luxury of keeping the Stingray Special and 'going sensible' on the other bits (more a high end bass discussion rather than vintage vs. new) As I'm shying away from GAS I am looking to my other passions, watches and motorbikes... At least the first one can hold value or increase a bit; we'll see how a classic motorcycle will hold up post 2030 when ICE sales end... In any case, it seems that if we end up with the good vintage bass / bike / watch we'll end up feeling emotionally attached to it and should hence end up being a family heirloom to pass down to our kids one day... These are crimes of passion after all!
  10. I gotta love this - sharp and solid point! We often wind ourselves in with the 'investment value' of basses we (I?) end up selling months later and won't accrue to the full value potential... and even in that case, low-mid risk investing would return more money than that eventually anyway! Ander.
  11. Sharing the current and latest ‘sensible’ edition. Good pseudo unintended/intentional colour match in the holly P/J/SR trifecta. After all the basses I’ve had I can recommend Sire basses! Despite how many basses I’ve had I can’t have more than 3 basses lol - this is the only number I can manage that warrants I get to play them all!
  12. That looks incredibly nice Michael, congratulations.
  13. Wow Chris. This is something else, tons of mojo!
  14. Ah, had the Ric indeed, it was banging! Having said that I couldn’t justify all that money on gear, I’ve halved my gear value altogether which was much needed…! it did treat me great though, live and on studio…! Ander.
  15. I agree to an extent but I also didn’t want to take from the merit and pioneering they’ve made as a company in the recent times. Personally think they’ve lost their way in the recent years and some gear calls, and often been disappointed by some of their gear but also done plenty right…! completely agree that if you’re eager to dig in for the right pedal/gear etc you’ll find much better options too. for modern distortion this Lusithand is likely my favourite pedal - for a more traditional cut i quite liked Hudson electronics stuff - in between… Fuzzrocious Lil Fella.
  16. I second this. Plus, much as I like the darkglass tone etc I hate how it eats out bottom. With this pedal you do not lose bass and also the EQ control adds a lot of magic.
