1. Could you please refer to what type it is? Any pics on google that are similar to this one? Cheers
2. As this is hopefully going to be my occupation anything from 1 to 6 hours a day, normally on the higher end Shed shed shed shed shed....
Anything from 10mins to an hour - sometimes more - little and often is my moto.
There's a nice joke in there but I left my flame-proof onsey at a friend's place, so I'll just leave it at that
3.
Are there any sample tracks anywhere? I saw lots of mention of who's on it but no indication of what it sounds like.
http://www.myspace.com/janekgwizdalaproject A lot like Mystery to me but more developed by the sounds of things, ie. Awesome.
4. Really looking forward to hearing the album in full
5. I just took the £47 plunge and bought the pickup that he recommended for my tastes, Should arrive early next week so if anyone's interested I'll post a quick review.
6. This guy has a well rated shop on ebay selling lots of transducer pickups. As I need a good double bass one but don't want to spend £100 I was naturally allured to his home-made £50 models that in all honesty look pretty solid, and besides that from my experience the retired guys who try to make a little money from their hobby are normally pretty good. He also claims that some of the pick ups have a high enough output to not worry about using a preamp, if this is the case I am going to be a very happy man and however much a bass fishman pro costs richer. So, has anyone tried them? I've emailed him and I think I'll probably buy a pick up very soon. If I go ahead with the buy I'll keep everyone posted, other people's opinions would be useful too though. Here's a link to the shop: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/jtoneelectronique
7.

I concur.
8. I personally much prefer his upright playing, and don't really care for his electric playing. I saw him live with Chick Corea last year and that was awesome. He makes the instrument look like a breeze to play, I love it
9. So are these sold? If not I am interested!
10. +1 My last 2 basses and my wonderful rig have been bought here and dirt cheap too. Such kindness is rare, and also absent from most other instrument dedicated sites... I guess bassists are just the best! Thanks basschat!
11. Yeah that sounded like puss.
12. Why so far! Any word of any similar events down south or in London? Cheers
13. Once I was experimenting with TCP and bass strings (not trying to get high) and decided to give that a little test on my finger tips as they were sore at the time. It seemed to numb them, which meant I could carry on playing easily... Thought that might be relevant
14. Don't be so confused! I just love those dark woods, especially when they look a bit vintage like that. Reminds me of nice old dark double basses. I'm really pissed I missed that, would have made me a happy chappy!
15. I am also very interested in that body! Let me know if your several deals fall through
16. Now that is a Jazz.
17. I'm no real fan but didn't the the guitarist of System Of A Down lay down an entire album of bass tracks without even telling the bass player? I can't remember where I picked that up...
18. Edgar Meyer? Anybody?
19. I'm very happy indeed with Stephen's sale to me of my newest bass, excellent prices, friendly and helpful to chat to. Great!
20. Keep it! These things are worth so much more then you can sell them for!
21. Teen Town live with the 5 minute jam of doom. That makes me feel great everytime. An alternative is all of Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, Custard Pie always gets me going and the rest is just, well, perfect...mmmm...
22. I have a year from now until next August time that I would love to get playing some music relatively locally (I'm based near Totnes). I mainly play Jazz, Funk and Fusion but I also have a lot of Rock experience in the progressive/alternative end. I'm 18 and have been regularly playing gigs since I was 14/15 years old so I'm not new to gigging. I also have my own nice rig and basses, ready for business. So! Jazz, Funk, (proper) R&B, World music, Folk or Rock; I'm up for almost anything paid or for kicks. Drop me a PM and I'll get right back to you. Cheers Jamie
23.
Brill, apart from not having a Push/Pull volume knob the rest sounds spot on. can't wait to try it out.
Trust me, it's badass
