1.
Is there an input gain pot anywhere on the pedal (or inside)? It sounds like maybe the pedal's just not getting enough juice to do the calculations properly... Dan
Its an interesting point. The controls are "normal" for, obviously the clean signal level and "octave" which is the same but for the effect, no real "input gain control. I have a pretty high output bass (yamaha trb) so i dont see that as the problem.
How long can you sustain a note? For the sake of example let's pick that E on the A string - does it track it OK for a second or more? It sounds to me like it might be just typical tracking quality for an analogue octaver.
Its strange, with a pedal this thing sounds pretty good, by its self it doesnt seem like it can hold any effected note properly, the effect just cuts out randomly while i play.
2. turns out this is a compressor pedal that can be used for drive. dunno if ill be buying now.
3. it happens in general not just the 7th fret of the a string. totally puzzling me still.

6. i can be anything. i could play the 7th fret on the A string let it ring and the effect cut out halfway through the ringing note, not the whole signal, just the effect. if that makes sense
7. not a problem. bloody plugger

help needed

Im having a bit of trouble with this pedal, it seems to cut out (the effect not the whole signal) and distort. Ive tried it with different basses, new battery, different cables and two different amps and it seems to do the same thing. any ideas? how can i fix this?
9. haha. Ive seen these somewhere before aswell. They look like nice bits of kit. Saw one on ebay a few weeks back.
10.
Yamaha TRB I think
ayyeee I rekon its definatley a yamaha of some sort. Its got that distinctive 12th fret marker edit: just noticed the tweaked pic - maybe not a trb afterall. The old trb's did have 4 knobs though!
11. The head has gone. Cabs are still on though.
12. ive been trying to find out what he uses for a while now. A recent bass player magazine showed what he uses, Korg multi FX and the DM-4 - has anyone tried the dm-4 on bass? isnt it just the distortion section of the guitar pod?
13. bloody lovely that is. you slut

16. How funny. These almost certainly will be better than the vintage relics jobs. But i do hope you cant see the sand paper marks and what not that goes with the vintage relics.

22.
An over-priced gimmick-invested mobile phone that sold through marketing instead of technology? Cool. That means that whatever this new thing is, other manufacturers will have something that works better and at a reasonable price within 3 months.
that made me giraffe.
23. I browsed the forum a few times, but never really thought about joining. I went off the whole international forum thing ever since i joined total guitar. Post something youre not too sure about with every possibility you might be incorrect and theres always someone to make you feel like a Teawat. Plus i feel very welcome here and everyone treats each other respectfully. Most of the time. I think.
