Your bass is not Sage Green is it? I sold one a while ago and added a Gotoh 201 Bridge? I find a bit of Chorus and some lovely flats helps the mwwhha sound..
Hi guys, Have just got hold of a beautiful MIM Fretless Jazz Bass which feels and sounds great. Has a Gotoh 201 bridge fitted. when I plug it in I don't seem to be able to get as much of the freless 'Mwaah' that I hoped for. Sounds great when not plugged in! Playing through a Phil Jones Briefcase. I'm thinking of different pickups as these are standard MIM ones. Any thoughts. I wanted to keep the tone of the bass (which is awesome), so was thinking that active PUP's were out. will be playing mainly Jazz/Soul. Any suggestions? will the pickups make the difference? I'm a PUP numpty I'm afraid. Budget is tight so can't spend fortunes. Advice much appreciated.
SOLD - Pending Payment
2008 Duck Dunn With upgraded pre-amp Hi, Despite this being the best P I have owned I am afraid that I need to go back to a fretless for a new project I am now working on. I bought this bass 6 weeks ago from Chandler guitars and it was already upgraded with a pre-amp. It was professionaly done and a better job I have yet to see. The bass is immacualte without a scratch or blemish and the neck is very jazz like. The range of tones is astonishing. The Dunn's seem a bit rare these day's. The bass only comes with a gig bag and thus I would prefer the potential buyer to collect it rather than ship but happy to wrap it fit for a nuclear attack if you require it shipping (at your cost) I am looking at £550 for it. Tradewise: A fretless USA Precision, must be an original Fretless and not a defretted. Anyone who feels a need to trade for a Fretless Wal or Pedulla - no problem ;o) Please PM for Pics..
Bought an upgraded Duck Dunn with pre-amp, just realised totally by accident the volume control knob doubles as the active/passive switch! Doh!!!

Morning Dave, I am trying to send you a PM but cannot? Hi Dave, The knobs appear to be Volume and three tonal changes, if the three knobs are bottom the bass seems to be passive, moving the switches towards the middle the bass the tone appears to be boosted and active? If I remove the battery the bass is dead regardless of knob positioning. Cheers, Steve.

Derek Forbes' Vigier Passion on Ebay
bassatnight replied to darkandrew's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Derek's a top bloke, I nearly bought one of this old Wal's off him a while back and he had the decency to respond to a few questions I asked regarding his set-up for the Sons and Fascination and New Gold Dream Albums. Great to see him back with the Fender P! Anyone seen him playing Colours Fly and Catherine wheel on you tube?
