2.
Buying and selling 2nd here is more or less cost neutral. Taking a loss of £20 or £30 is certainly cheaper than a day trip to London or wherever both in time and money. There is also the thrill of the chase
Amen. I bought Accugroove Tri 112 cabs, not good. Bergantino IP 310 Cabs, sounded unbelievable, but no umph. Ashdown, please! On the up side, Techsoundsystems 6X10, yes, Glockenklang 2x12, best cab per size ever, Aguilar DB680 Preamp, unreal. All from Basschat for much cheapness. Like Owen said, I haven't lost much buying from the for sales threads.

 4.
C'mon then own up... Have you done it ???? I do move gear round a bit myself, but always second hand... that way you don't lose money. Surprising the number of TC electronic bass rigs that are springing up at the moment. Maybe they're sh*t ? Who knows ?
Marketing works! Believe in nothing, try before you buy.
 5. My goodness, beautiful.
 6.
Actually two are the choices !! 1st These were my settings for my last gig at the Old Paris Retirement Home , grandma' loves Metallica !!! Head was connected to 2 TECAMP BAD CABS !! 2nd My 3 years old son was playing with the knobs when I was looking for my camera before taking the pictures !! Amp was off and not connected Both are cool !!
fait moi sourire.
 7. Funk, is about f***ing, Jazz, is about higher levels of conciousness, jazz funk seems to cancel both out. Junk, maybe?
 8.
So glad that I have no funds for this and that you are a solid 5 hour drive away. What would I do with a 2x15 anyway? Partner it with that Trace VA350 (or whatever it is) valve job. I would then be ready for all my rock gigs. I hardly ever do rock gigs, but if I did this would be waiting in the corner for me. It is just as well that I am broke.
Owen, shut up please, you're not making this easy for me.
 9.
i'm sure i heard genesis p say 'nice' near the start there. was he the fast shows' jazz-blokes' muse (haircut included) ?
I don't know but "Tits" has left TG and I missed them at Hackney on 23/10. Nice.
 10. No, I don't like cats deep in my pockets they may freak out and present a mortal danger to my nutsack.

 15.
Included for the weirdness of it all. Charity bash at The Chapel nightclub in Salisbury, Oldslapper's band were on the same bill. We filled one of the early slots at short notice, hence the small but select crowd. Captions welcome by the way. 16. Sounds great.

 18.
Folks, I am considering purchasing a lovely Japanese Jazz from a guy in Japan, the bass is currently £500 with a buy it now about the same price, but I am worried about being ripped off or possible extra charges by way of Import Tax etc. I have mailed the guy as the price he quoted for shipping was just £20 to the UK and when I questioned it he said the actual price for shipping is £89 but he will only charge me £20 of that? Seems to good to be true? I took the liberty of mailing a person from the UK who had previously bought from him and he said the guy is kosher but also questioned the shipping cost to me as it seems very low. Anyone on here bought from Japan before and has an idea of possible pitfalls in terms of extra costs?
I bought a bass from Japan about 3 years ago, £69 shipping, didn't have to pay any tax this end, arrived in 3 days. Is this an ebay seller?
