1. Guitarworks is my local shop, they are great guys to deal with. I think that this cab used to be owned by John who is the shop manager and bass player, he has now upgraded to a 4x10 Schroeder cab
There a 2x12 here if anyone after one- http://www.theguitarworks.co.uk/acatalog/S...nd_ex_demo.html At a tempting price too.
2. Hi there, I have D-Bass 210 and I don't have any issues with audible noise, and I would say that is a very quiet amp. I get a faint hiss when using the super Flat Mode, but very quiet on the Vintage and Modern modes. I also have the 115X powered extension cab and I have had both at fairly loud gig levels and I have never had an issue with noise. I use the active input and gain set about 12 o'clock I guess that if your turn up the gain all the way it will become noisy, try reducing the input gain so the input led only blinks occasionally when you play. If you overdrive the input will not sound good, as this amp is solid state and uses digital modelling (no valves). For overdrive/distortion sounds I use a Sansamp or an Ashdown Lomenzo pedals which sound great with this amp. Cheers Joao
3. I got this Jaguar Bass from Steve a couple of years ago or so. The Kent Armstrong lipstick pickups are a huge improvement from the originals and make this Jaguar my favorite bass Really fancy a black Jack Cassidy at the moment, not to keen on the original Gibson type bridge but I reckon that would look great with the new Hipshot bridge replacement and will probably improve the sound and sustain! Joao
No problem! How about a Jaguar in surf green with kent lipsticks and a mint green pickguard? Cool as you like, retro looks, modern tone
4. I bought his 2x12 Seco cab, nice guy and a pleasure to deal with. Joao
5. PM also sent Cheers, Joao
6. The same here, do you have any pictures ? what's the condition ? how old ? is the foot switch included ? etc...
7. Another vote for the Korg Pitchblack. I got the Pitchblack+ 4 weeks ago and I am very impressed with it, great piece of kit. I tried the guitarists TU-2 pedal before I got the Korg, and I did not think that it was particularly good with the bass. I also find the built in tuner on my Line6 Bass Pod XT Live very good and precise. I am also very fond of my TU-12 which I got second hand in 1985, and is still working fine, but no good with a low B.
8.
Yep I've got one, great pedal but Vista not supported. Then again Line 6 refuse to provise Vista drivers for the Bass Pod XT live too Peter
Line6 have now released Vista drivers for the Bass Pod XT Live (8th of July), just go to the download page... Too late for me, as I've just switched to a Mac for all my music apps Joao
9. Hi there, I'll take these if still available, email sent Cheers Joao
10. I love my Jaguar bass, the neck is fantastic and the series/parallel sw gives a good variation of sounds form traditional Jazz to P bass. The active Eq is not up to much but it sounds great in passive mode anyway. I got mine second hand from this forum, a Black one which was already modded with a Badass II bridge and Ken Armstrong Bass Lipsticks PUs. I am thinking of getting another one imported from Japan (Ishibashi), a non export vintage white with a tort pickguard which are only available in Japan (will match my Fender Jazzmaster guitar) Joao
11. Great review... I've upgraded my Adrenalinn II to a version III (just a couple of chips to swap out - very easy with the instructions provided). I already loved the version II (I used it both with bass and guitar), but the version III takes this multi fx box to another level. I took it to band practice a couple of weeks ago, and the guys in the band were absolutely amazed with the sounds that this little box produced. I am particularly fond of one the talk box patches with the bass (very very funky). For straight bass amp emulations and playing live I still prefer my BOD XT live, but the Adrenalinn beat sync'd FX are unique and very inspirational. When I get some time I am planning to try to midi sync the Adrenalinn with a RC50 loop station - this should give live loops with beat sync'd FX on the fly ! (at least that's the plan... we'll see!) Joao
12. These are amazing pickups. The Big Singles are a great upgrade for a Lakland 55-01 (nearly the same size as the Bart MK1s - about 1 or 2 mm narrower) and the correct 19 mm string spacing, the best upgrade I ever done... Have a bump Joao
13. Hi there, Is this still available ? Cheers, Joao
14. I there... I have a similar problem with the Badass II fitted to the Jaguar bass that I got from Steve-Norris earlier this year. I have lots of allen keys around (a full metric set and a full imperial set from RS Comp), but none off them fit the Badass saddle screws! Does anyone know what is the sized key required for these bridges ? In the past I have managed to get around this problem by lifting or removing the saddle from the bridge and try to adjust the saddle screw from the underside of the saddle just using my fingers or with small pliers, but this is too fiddly... Cheers Joao
15. I have had one for 10 months or so... I'm really pleased with it so far. Very light and portable and is a one hand lift for short distances (bass on gigbag on the other hand)..., usual Roland quality (made China). Soundwise I find it a bit too hi-fi even on the vintage setting, but I use it with a Sansamp that nails the sound that I am after, also works well with a Bass Pod XT Live into the FX return. It has plenty of power and easily keeps up with 2 guitarists (one with a 2x12 Marshall and the other with a 4x12 Ashdown), and it goes low enough with my 5 string Sandberg. I also have the 115 15' powered cab, but I do not use very often as the 210 is loud enough most of the time. The 210 + 115 together are quite a powerful rig (with the 115 set to full range), or use it the 115 set as a sub to go extra low Joao
16. That's a cool bass... like it a lot! Is one of the control knobs missing? I've just had a quick look at the specs on the Fender website, picture there and specs show 4 control knobs... Joao
17. Hi there, I have JM 5 and I love it... the only downside, it's very a heavy bass! I have tried a couple of PM4's which were great also
