  1. That looks really nice, and I’m loving the name , Jazz Maniac
  2. I think It kinda defeats the object of feedback really, someone might be a bad seller and you wouldn’t know because they’ve only got good feedback,
  3. It looked ok until this bit, i can’t work out what’s happened to the edge of the body
  4. Which one do you use paddy, I like a dark board, does it soak in ok
  5. I would try that Paul, it might just move enough and still cover the holes
  6. Can’t go wrong for £10, but I’d have to realign the bridge , good idea with the polish bit on the dremmel ☝️
  7. Did you see the 3rd feedback for the mixer 😄
  8. And it’s the same person who has left both feedbacks, strange 🤔 did they buy it twice
  9. That looks like genuine lacquer wear on the headstock, this is my 1998 P bass special, and I’ve had many us jazzes and the serial number in the neck pocket isn’t always the same as on the neck, some haven’t had a number in the pocket, only a date, it looks legit to me 🙂
  10. Hi Rich, there’s a few things in this thread that might be of interest to you 🙂
  11. A nice easy one to play aswell Dave 🙂
  12. This always has a feel good vibe for me
  13. I’ve got a tokai jazz, not quite as early as yours, they really are nice basses , glad you got it back 👍
  14. I can’t say I knew that one , but I was in an East London sound system called excelsior chant , and a few of the members went on to play with jah Shaka .
  15. I’m guessing you might have also shopped in Red Records in Brixton, I used to go there every Saturday morning
  16. I’ve still go this on vinyl, I bought it from a reggae music stall in petticoat lane when it came out, it was roundabout the time I bought this 🙂
  17. Nice job buff, that’s come out really good , what colour are you going for.
  18. I’ve still got my first bass , a Jedson bought in 1977 from a friend, so it’s older than that, and it still works although the jack socket is a bit crackly, it just hangs on the wall of my summerhouse now 😁
  19. Hi jamm, If this is the knobs you are talking about, I drilled a small hole and screwed a small Allen key screw in and they worked fine 🙂
  20. I’ve stripped a few of my bass bodies with the heat gun for refinishing, it’s definitely the right tool, as long as you don’t scorch it , any pics @buff
  21. Definitely better with the black, and that’s a nice Ashdown setup behind ☝️
  22. That’s really nice, I like the pickguard colour ☝️
  23. @jamm501 is yours a split shaft or solid shaft.
