  1. I’ve got a high quality Speakon cable on its way, I didn’t know there were different ones
  2. I’ve got the older one and I don’t know how many transformers it’s got, maybe @Ashdown EngineeringCould answer the question 🙂
  3. I always quite fancied driving one of these jezzaboy, there was a lot of them around my way at one time when all the docklands was being redeveloped 🙂
  4. That’s exactly what I was doing a little over a year ago ,but I persevered and resisted the temptation to pick up any of my fours (as much as I wanted to) and it slowly came together, I found that having a 5 string fretboard chart always in front of me helped, especially with scales and modes, I can now pick up either and be comfortable 🙂
  5. At school I wanted to be a doctor but unfortunately there was no money available for me to do it, my first job was a steeplejack, then I trained as a carpenter and joiner which I did for 30 years, and I now work for the Nhs 🙂
  6. I haven’t had a big experience of them, I play mainly jazzes, I played about 6 different ones in the shop before I ordered my custom , and the one thing they all had was a really nice feel to the necks
  7. I’ve posted a few by monty but I don’t think I’ve shown this one, it’s an interesting version of Rockers by King Tubby, nice bass playing
  8. No it’s a 1998 P bass special 🙂
  9. It’s been a while since I played something different and I heard this during the week, quite a nice Bassline , it doesn’t look too difficult and there’s a few nice runs 🙂this guy does some nice covers
  10. You’ve got some lovely basses hiram, what are you gassing for at the moment 🙂
  11. Beautiful, I’m loving the shape of the headstock.
  12. Thanks Greg, sounds great , I’ll be buying a copy 👍
  13. Nice one Greg 👍 what sort of exercises does it contain , and is the printed book only available through amazon
  14. I did a similar thing, My P was my go to bass for years, with the tone rolled off through my Ashdown rig it had the perfect sound for reggae , then I bought a few jazzes and fell in love with them so much that I couldn’t stop buying them, so I decided to sell my P, I cleaned it up, photographed it , and plugged it in to check that it was all working fine before listing , and ended up playing it for about 3 hours 😄, it’s definitely not going anywhere, and shortly after I bought another P, I’ve also got a P with a jazz neck that’s really nice to play, Kiogon made the loom for that one 🙂
  15. very nice mick 👍, is this the video you mean
  16. I’ve heard that before somewhere but I don’t know where, was it used in an advert or program maybe
  17. Getting the right chair made a big difference for me, I had a comfy one but it made me slouch a bit which wasn’t good, I’ve now got a decent office chair with the arm rests removed and it’s fully adjustable, so I sit more upright.
  18. I play sitting and standing, and when sitting my strap is the same position/height as when I’m standing, i don’t think it’s the bass i would say it’s your posture, and it could also be that your maybe tensing your right shoulder, relax and find a comfortable position 🙂
  19. I’ve just bought Dans RM 500 and couldn’t be happier, he’s an absolute gentleman to deal with, great communication, super fast posting and very well packaged , I very much hope to deal with him again, top man, many thanks Dan👍, Tony
