    I’ve had a set on one of my jazzes for about 7 years, they are not the brightest flats ,which suits me ,but they are a nice string and great value, I think I paid £10 for mine

    Hi Oliver and welcome 👍, from what I can see that’s quite a split in the body , and the action looks high , possibly because of the damage, I would return it myself 🙂

    I don’t bend any of my strings myself, I tune the open strings with the 12th fret and then any small tweaks to get the best balance across the fretboard
