Hi, Zoom 506B SOLD EHX Memory Boy SOLD Just my Bespeco VM18L Volume/Expression pedal left now, good condition and boxed. It's got a built in cable, and a polarity switch so can be set to work with most stuff. £10 + £3 delivery. I was using it briefly on my Boss Super Shifter to adjust the pitch. Bespeco site - http://www.bespeco.it/detail.php?mac=6&...8&lingua=en More than happy to trade. WHY? This is cheap, so just a good quality speaker cable, patch cables, or a fat finger or something? Rich

Quick question, just for confirmation what I'm doing is okay really. I plugged my Sansamp output into the "Power Amp In" on the back of my SVT3 (bypassing the SVT's preamp), and found the volume of the amp to be completely controlled by the Sansamp - the master volume knob became my overall volume and the amp's Master level had no effect whatsoever. Is that the way it should be? I kind of expected the Sansamp signal to route to the amp, and then the master control on the amp to control the volume. Cheers
Cheers ritch, I had a look at some YouTube videos of the PS-5, they were all demos on guitar sadly but it may do what I need, does it has a control for delaying (Latency on the plug-in) when the shifted note starts? Also is the pitch knob infinitely variable or click in preset increments? R.
Nope - the pitch knob will move it up or down by a 3rd, 5th, 7th, 1 octave or 2 octaves (worked out from which Key you have the "HR Key" knob set to). To be honest I haven't used it for any of the doubling up notes effects, just the tremelo arm setting, so I can press the pedal to make it dive bomb to an octave below. Rich

I have one of these, which works excellently on bass. It's got a detune function, and the ability to mix this with your bypassed sound. Not that expensive - probably a third of the price of the POG!

Is the 610 4 ohms? I've got a 4x10HE + 1x15 I'd be tempted to trade. I live miles away from you, in Gloucestershire, so could be a problem. Btw - someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but you might have problems combining the 4x10 'HLF' and 1x15HE as one's 4 ohms and one's 8ohms. I don't know what happens when you put those two together.
It might well work, but I have never tried it to be honest. The Roland TR-606 drum machine used the toms for the trigger outs. I've used the trigger outs of the 606 to trigger the lfo clock on the Korg MS-20 synth, and also to clock the Arpegiator of a Roland SH-101 synth. Other drum machines assigned the rim shot for the trigger out as it had a more defined initial attack. I'm not sure what the tap tempo input's of stomp boxs's tend to expect, or accept. As I say though, it would definately work for a C.V/Gate synth in terms of clocking and/or triggering and I can't imagine pedals being too different.
That's good to know. I'll assign a nice tight sound like a rim shot to it to try it. This is going to be life changing if it works! Rich

Hi, Does anybody have any knowledge of using delay pedals and midi/cv inputs together? Ideally I would like to take a midi cable out of my MPC1000 and use it to set the timing on a delay pedal. Now the only delay pedals I can find with MIDI ins are the Eventide/TRex/TC Electronics ones, which are a good wodge of money. Could I take an audio output from one of the aux's on my MPC (assign a snare or something to it) and plug it into the tap tempo on something like a DD5/7? Would that be a useable signal to trigger the expression input? I'm assuming an "expression" input is different to a CV input (like you'd find on a moogerfooger)? Can anybody suggest anything? I would prefer something small and single effect oriented, rather than a rack mount or multi. Thanks
I believe the Line 6 xx4 modeller pedals can run on either AC or DC. As long as it's getting 9V and enough mA, it should be fine.
Excellent. That puts my mind at rest. Rich
it says the DL4 runs off batteries. Is the mains adaptor for it AC or DC? Does it tell you on the back of the case? Most pedals will not have a transformer built in, they will rely on the transformer being in the adapter plug. If so, then you need to check if it is -ve tip or +ve. Jonnyshredfreak.com sell polarity-swapping connectors so you can get round that too.
It does run off batteries. The power supply says AC-AC. Input AC 230V 50Hz, Output 9V AC 2000mA. And it is +ve tip.
Rich, theres plenty of ebay outlets selling multi-adaptor power supplies in daisy chains with different plug sizes - don't have to pay crazy diago rip-off prices. I just bought one from effectpowersupplies.com. 6 outlets 9v in either 2.1 or 2.5mm barrels and about £16.
Oh yeah - £30 for a 3000mA one! http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/stompbo...chain-696-p.asp My worry though, is the AC/DC thing - is there something that says if you plug a AC-DC supply into an AC pedal (the DL4) that it will work, but not the other way around. Otherwise I can't see how it would work.

Is it possible to power a Line6 DL4 and other 9V pedals like Boss etc from the same power supply? The DL4 needs 2000mA, so that pretty much means it would have to be a Diago Powerstation or something similar. But the power supply I have for my DL4 is AC-AC 9v, while the other pedals would need AC-DC. Does that make sense? Diago suggest there's an adaptor here: http://www.diago.co.uk/component/page,shop...art/Itemid,206/ But again, that says it outputs on 2.5mm barrel plug, but the power supply I have for my DL4 is 2.1mm. A bigger 2.5mm plug won't even fit in the pedal. Don't want to go and buy one if it's just a waste of money. Cheers Rich

Hi Al, Thanks for the suggestions. This problem is with a Green Big Muff clone I was also making. I started it years ago, and picked it up again recently, mainly just as practice while I was waiting for all the bits to arrive for my Reverb. The board's a little more complicated than the reverb, but I think I've found the area the sound stops going through the board, using the probe method. I'll keep trying though. Rich
Corrected link.
That's amazing! Thanks for sharing. I haven't made one yet, but it looks like such a useful thing, I'm surprised no on has made one commerically! Or have they?

I'm trying to make a Sovtek Big Muff from a tonepad board/project, and I've soldered it all together. The true bypass works, as sound goes through that way, but nothing when I click the switch. Currently it's not assembled in the case, but should it work if I just plug in all the cables without it in the enclosure, or is there some kind of grounding issue that could cause it to not work? Thought I'd ask incase that's something I should try! It all appears to ground to the input jack socket - one from the board itself, one from the switch, one from the output socket and one from the DC socket. Rich
