1. I've just updraded my stock Fender Jaguar bass with some Dimarzio Model J's (successfully ... phew!) and so the old pair is for sale if anybody would like them. This is the bass that they came from http://www.gak.co.uk...pic-white/15839 Fender call them 'Vintage Jazz Bass Pickups' - and I assume they must be Japanese coming from this bass. One is slightly longer than the other. Nothing bad has happened to them, and still just as much wire on them as they had when they were fitted. £35 posted. Paypal or bank transfer.
2. Actually, a little digging around suggests the V4B was wider, about 27 inches, so I don't think it would suit.
3. Have you got any idea if an old Ampeg V4B would fit in here? Could you post the internal dimensions? Cheers

8. Cheers. I might try that if one doesn't come up on here.
9. Hi Does anybody know if it's possible to get hold of new grills for Ampeg 8x10s? I have a black 'Classic' one but would like the silvery AV one. Or if anybody wants to swap? Cheers Rich
10. Yeah - I'll do that. I've got loads of them lying around from old computers.
11. Bought. Thanks. I'll give that a go - it looks like it will fit in perfectly and dead easy to wire up. Here's a couple of pics of it as it stands incase you're interested.
12. Thanks They're two of these: http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/1013-joe-meek-micromeek-mq1-computer-interface-mic-pre-amp.html They're meant to be in a drive bay in a desktop pc, but I have mounted two of them in a box so I can have them as a standalone unit (less interference etc). I can't find any specs for them. Maybe I'll just keep hunting for an off the shelf 12v one then. They all either seem to be cheap from china, or overly expensive, or a wall wart. I need one with an IEC socket that can sit inside my box. Cheers
13. Hi Pete Thanks for the information! That's a big help. I'll give that circuit a go and see how far I get. I'm not 100% sure what current the meeks take - somebody has guessed at no more than 1000ma, but there doesn't appear to be much information online about it. A couple of questions though ... 1. What should I search for as a transformer? Would this be the sort of thing? http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/transformers.html 2. What is the "LOAD 100" on the right of the picture? 3. You mention a fuse - where is that in the diagram? Scuse my lack of electronics knowledge! Cheers Rich
14. Is anybody good at making things like power supplies? I'm looking for one that has an IEC 3 pin connector going in, so from a kettle lead, and outputs 12v on a Molex connector (the type that would power hard drives in a computer, but specifically for to make a couple of Joe Meek units into standalone preamps). Any ideas? I've made the case for it, which has an IEC going in, so I just want something to convert to 12v now. I've tried some of the random rubbish from china on ebay but they pop within a few days of using them!! rich
15. Hi, I've got an as new bass case for sale/trade only at the moment. It's designed for a Hofner Violin Bass, but didn't fit my bro's cheaper copy as the bass was too long for it. It's one of these: http://www.hutchinsg...ils.aspx?pid=56 You can see the dimensions on one of the pictures there. Never been used. No key for it though. Trade wise I'd be interested in pedals - nothing plastic, not really sure what - WHY? TU-2's are always useful, drum machines, synthy things, good quality flight cases, percussion. Try me. A Lexicon MX200 or Jamman with cash your way? Or £30 cash. Ideally collection/meet only. I'm in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Rich
16. Hi Clarky72, They're both sold now. Sorry. Rich
