  1. My L2 was my one and only bass for 25 years. Studio and touring. Summer and winter. Great bass. Great tone. Great performance overall and super stable. I had to get used to wooden basses and their quirks again when I eventually started acquiring more basses. (Thanks to communities like this😅)
  2. Really nice bass, but those strap buttons shouldn't be there....not original. The original "Boomerang" shaped backplate with strap buttons each end of it is essential for the ergonomics of this bass. With it the bass balanced perfectly on that screw point on the back. You can tighten the screw and have the bass in a fixed position, or you can loosen it and swing around that point. Absolutely no neck dive or rising... You can even swing it from a right-hand to a leftie😅 But that's fixable on this one of course
  3. Bought a 5 with single pu and refinished it. The paint was falling off, and not in a nice way. So I stripped it . The pickguard was cracked in three pieces so I made a new one Very nice to play and lovely feel, neck, knobs and all IMG_20250214_112627.heif
  4. A Callowhill. Especially a Callowhill MPB. Would absolutely love one
  5. Cool green, I've got the right strings for it😊
  6. These are great! I've converted mine to fretless and it has a well played set of Pyramid Black Tapes on it. Has been living in my boat the last 10 years, and still plays nice thanks to the composite body. GLWTS😊
  7. Beautiful bass! Very sad circumstances I must say.
  8. https://www.finn.no/342284482 This one is for sale in Norway at the moment
  9. Just bought my first Status, a Shark 5 from the 90's (exact year unknown to the seller, and to me) One pu passive Black finish was badly chipped, so I stripped the body back to the American Cherry and gave it some wax and love. Intonated the neck and put on some Labella Olinto Flats. Sounds really good, and that neck is wonderful, quite similar to my fretless JP. Nice and light too. Band rehearsals next week...

  12. They certainly are! And no longer in production. I love them both, and they both have their character, but one will be adequate for me now. The 15 has never been gigged, just played once a week by me at rehearsals.
  13. I've got two Walkabouts....and really only need one. Your choice. Please PM for details or negotiations. Thanks.
  14. Tony is the best. No worries.
