  1. Have you tried messaging @KiOgonI've heard nothing but good things about his wiring looms but I dont know if he does preamps....... 👍🏻
  2. Loving it! It looks awesome! right up my street..... 👍🏻
  3. I really want a zoom b1 four as the reviews I've seen online are really positive (for a multi fx pedal) hopefully I'll get one after xmas! I need some effects to disguise my bad playing....... 😬
  4. This is the view out of the workshop windows
  5. I'll take a picture of the view tomorrow so you can see why the windows are that side, the only neighbours that would be overlooked is a herd of fresian cows! I don't think they will be too interested!?! 😁
  6. Well I say my workshop but I've got to share it with my dad as they've moved to the house behind me but I've got all my machines back: bandsaw, thicknesser, router table and table saw so thats going to make my life a lot easier!! Its 20'x10' so its going to be a bit tight on size but it should be ok....... 👍🏻
  7. Don't know why it posted it 3 times?
  8. 🤷‍♂️ Duplicate post
  9. There was a big delay in my workshop being delivered but it turned up today woo hoo!! Hopefully get it finished and start moving all of the machines in by the weekend then I can start building again! I've been having withdrawal as I've not built anything for about 3 months 😁
  10. I have done a set up on it now the neck needed about 1/2 turn which I did in two 1/4 turns about 8 hours apart then I left it overnight, checked it this morning and the action needed to be lowered a little bit and it plays lovely now Thanks everyone for the advice....... 👍🏻
  11. I'll have to try and dig out my capo! @Bridgehousehow long would you recommend leaving it to settle between adjustments? 👍🏻
  12. Thats what I've changed to, I've never had nylon tapewounds before but I'm loving the feel and sound of them!....👍🏻
  13. Thanks gents are give that a go 👍🏻
  14. Hi all I changed strings from a set of flats to a set of black tapewounds and now I've got a fret buzz on the 1st fret on the E and A strings and can't figure out why its happening, any ideas anybody? 👍🏻
  15. Got some black tapewounds off Chris very reasonably priced posted quickly great guy to deal with thanks again 👍🏻
  16. I can't find the words to describe your bass! I feel stunning, awesome, amazing just doesn't do it justice!!!!
  17. Cheers Ash received the strings today, thanks for posting them out so quickly 👍🏻
  18. Cheers mate I'll pm you 👍🏻
  19. Would you take £10 for them? 👍🏻
  20. Hi are these still available? 👍🏻
  21. Thats a bonus then! I'll just be using them as tops anyway and I've got a half decent scrap merchant just down the road so I'll be able to scrap the metal parts and hoprfully get a few quid towards the build!? I have been looking on marketplace but I haven't seen any local as yet but I'll kerp looking I'm no eco warrior or anything but I think by the likes of us using reclaimed timber it helps do our bit to reduce climate change and not buy exotic timber thats been shipped half way round the world also is a plus....... 👍🏻
  22. Like you I've started making all my basses and guitars out of reclaimed timber or furniture that I've managed to salvage out of a skip or free on facebook, my next project is going to be made from mahogany snooker table sides and my little boys old bed, I've been trying to keep my eye out for old pianos but I can't seem to find them anywhere? Where do you get yours from and do you get yours free or do you buy them? 👍🏻
  23. I'm not planning to this time!! 😁 Well I suppose anything with me can happen! Black stain with yellow grain fill could work?...........👍🏻
  24. I'm hopefully going to have my new workshop up and running by the end of next week so I thought I'd print off the template for the new body I'm going to be using this neck as a reference but make the new one out of Mahogany, I'm trying to be more sustainable with my builds so I might use some Oak I've got for the fretboard? The body is going to have a Mahogany back but I'm not sure of the top as yet I'm going to have to see what I've got/can get? Possibly Black stained Oak with the grain filled White?? Its still going to have a MM style pickup in a ramp style cover, not sure of the hardware colour as yet more than likely will be black?
  25. My choice would be the one on the far right, I think that's a really nice shorter Dolphin-esque shape!!....... 👍🏻
