  1. Morning all, hope everyone is staying safe and well during the craziness. I don't post on here much, but when i do there is some really good info. So I am hoping some of you cool cats can help me with this. My 8 year old daughter is killing it on the drums at the moment and was booked in for her first exam. However, when will that be now? Nobody knows. We got her a pretty decent electric kit for her birthday and she practices a lot. And uses acoustic kit at school. So because of the the electric capabilities I can record her drumming on garage band. This has really lit a fire in her belly during lockdown and now she is interested in making distorted sounds with my bass and loads of effects. She is now interested in learning bass, and I think she would do well going by her ability to pick up drums so quickly. Problem is, she is a wee un. Only 120 cm tall, she would (by my maths) only manage a half size bass. Now from my limited experience mucking about on 1/2 size basses, they are not very good. Am I right or wrong? I am interested to get some guidance on what makes etc may be budget friendly and good. What are the pitfalls of some 1/2 size basses. Any help would be appreciated and hopefully, when we taste sweet freedom again, we can make a purchase. Cheers Will
  2. No problem with that. Buyers risk obviously.
  3. Sebadoh. Met Lou Barlow and Geddy Lees nephew!
  4. 29/7 - sold pending payment. Massive BUMP! Update July 2020 - Really got to look at moving this so I can get a P (51 or normal) without the Jazz pick up. I was looking at making some modifications but think selling it would be more economical. Happy for people to come and try. For sale my lovely Squier Precision P/J bass. I purchased this off a top fella in the North East in the summer of 2017 as a bass to help me get back playing (after years of packing it in). I have since got my hands on an Epiphone Jack Casaday and I love it (and now wanting a new P bass or similar). Therefore I want to let this one go to a new home. The P bass is a lovely tone for the price, as expected with Squier gear. The neck is what really did it for me, the slimmer Jazz profile and satin finish are a lovely touch and the P/J PUP configuration makes it and extremely versatile little beast. It’s got a few scuffs (belt rash etc) as per usage but no significant chips or dents etc. It has served me well and is a straight up really reliable bit of wood. This bass would suit a beginner (or somebody coming back to the fold), it would be a reliable back up bass or it could be a budget friendly workhorse for some righteous cats. Either way it's a great bass for a great price. Happy to field any questions, allow for demos and send more photos etc if anybody wants to know more. I would prefer collection from North Yorkshire but can post if buyer arranges etc. However, please note I don't think I have got a box at the moment so would need to source this and therefore may be a delay to any postage. I now have a box if buyer arranges collection! For all the weight watchers, it is around 5kg, but I don't have scales. And no, I won't hand deliver on the back of a unicorn. Not for that price anyway! Thanks for looking. Will

  6. The Cure in Glasgow, amazing. Twilight Sad where phenomenal too. Emotional scenes.
  7. Orange burst still up for grabs?
  8. I have put this item in storage today so taking it off sale for the time being. My worldly possessions have been condensed down into 45 square foot of storage unit and this is somewhere near the back. I will update title and put back on sale when/if I am in a position to do so. Thanks for the interest. Will
  9. Cheers buddy, sorry to hear you're getting done over by the man as well.
  10. Quick bump. I have been made redundant and not received any any pay for 2 months. So this needs to go, as will the rest of my gear.
  11. Still here, many messages but no offers. I am about to move house and will be packing it up in storage. So if anyone does want it (on the off chance) best get it now before it is packed away for a couple of months. And I will do it for £115 if someone comes and gets it off my hands. It really is a lot of bass for the money. Plus, you'll play as good as me! Plus, plus, women and men (or whatever your persuasion) will fall at your feet. Plus, plus, plus when I become the latest rock star (38 ain't too late to start, right?) to burn out then implode you'll have a piece of rock n roll history that you can sell and fund your lifelong ambition of opening a spiritual healing retreat. You knows it. Will
  12. Nut measures 3.8 cm if anybody needs to know that.
  13. Hey don’t put a downer on my sale, I’ve just purchased your Substsbce book!
  14. Ooooh a twist! Cheers pal. I’ll search for those see if it ‘matches’. Wish I had the gear knowledge of you guys. 👍 Regards Will
  15. I haven’t got a clue to be honest. I picked it up as a cheap bass to get back in to playing. Marc S has some pretty solid knowledge right there (appreciated sir). But it my own research would suggest its VM. Regards Will.
  16. This is a 'Stood Up By My Buyers (non BC'er) and having a really rubbish week' style bump.
  17. BUMP. Few questions on DMs and trade offers and via other selling places but nothing more than that yet. i have removed 1x15 cab requirement as I can’t justify the space and have other options available to me from friends/studio etc. Still happy for interesting bass that will suit my style. Or decent preamp pedal. Just to a answer a couple of the questions that have come in: the weight is 4.1 or 4.2 kg. I’ve had to weigh with myself (some sort of techno scales) so not 100% pink torpedo on. The colour is red/black 2 tone sun burst and the photos are very true to the colour. it is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. I do travel a bit for work to East Midlands (and other places) but this is hopefully for only another 6 weeks or so! Will
  18. A ‘few enquires but nothing more’ type bump.
  19. Really wish I had the cash for a second JC bass. I absolutely love them and really found my happy place with mine. Somebody get this, alternatively gift me it for my birthday.
  20. Hello sir, a rough weight is 4 - 4.2kg. I can't be 100% sure as this was done with me on the bathroom scales without the bass, then holding the bass. Hope that helps. Will
