I’m a regular traveller on the A9 from Pitlochry to Dundee, Perth, etc and back, I find that the speed limit thing is when cruise control comes into its own (plenty of folk go screaming past me though, perhaps they don’t know,the definition of average?). The main annoyance on the A9 for me, is the 50mph limit for 7.5 tonnes and above, it’s not the vehicles that should be observing this limit, it’s the cars that think it applies to them too.

Yes, as soon as they do anything different, folk recoil in horror. The Dimension bass seemed like a good, new design, without being too radical (unlike the Meteora) but it was mostly studiously ignored.

You’re trying to do your best and entertain, but I could feel the enthusiasm draining from body. As we weren’t our normal compliment and line up, we couldn’t even view it as a paid rehearsal. The band leader is back there today to pick up some PA he had to leave behind, I wonder if he’ll get any feedback? If it’s, “You guys were great, really looking forward to having you back,” I’m going to spit! There was one upside, the load in was as easy as pie, parked opposite the side door, next to the stage, in, out, nay bother. However the stage was quite raised, with no stairs and all of us struggled to get on and off a couple of times .
