  1. Given the colours and look, they may have been put out in direct competition to the MIJ Fender boxer series.
  2. 1988 was his first platinum album but I can’t remember if I saw Kip in Alice Cooper during that decade. I saw Alice Cooper twice in the 80s with Kane Roberts on guitar and I think it was Kip on bass but can’t remember! I am the great cornholio, I need TP for my bung hole!
  3. I will look into that story but Kip appears to be doing well in his career. Followed him for years with Winger and Alice Cooper. He also is a trained classical pianist who does a lot more than just rock music.
  4. Pat Badger and Kip Winger love their Spector basses and what a tone they get from them 👏
  5. I thought the same with the nut. I remember watching lots of gigs in Edinburgh in the mid 80s & 90s, Warwicks were being used by bass players in a lot of the bands I saw and I recall thinking they were awful expensive at approx £1200. Getting this info from you guys makes me think that is a lot of money for a copy during those decades.
  6. Great info folks, cheers 👍I suspected Warwick of copying Spector but did not realise the depth of it.
  7. Please someone shed light on this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124995378299?hash=item1d1a4e1c7b:g:uTEAAOSwPJdhimDF

  11. Have to say, I’m very interested in a 1024. I had a 424 of which did not work for me at all but the 1024, seems to be a different beast and more of a fit, for me.
  12. I really do regret parting with my BB1600 so, don’t do it!
  13. You did get a Spector! I really, really, really fancy one of those so, spill, what’s it like? 🤭

  21. Very exciting times ahead and hopefully you guys are the catalyst and lead for full return of UK manufacturing.
  22. Good to see some manufacturing return to the UK, hopefully Ashdown will do the same and any other UK instrument/electronic/HiFi company will follow. Just think of Mission Cyrus 1 & 2 amps & Castle Speakers
  23. Definitely and whoever buys it is getting some instrument. 👍
  24. Wow! That’s a lot of bass for not much money! Parting out would definitely gather more funds for you. GLWTS, Andy
