  2. I think it has the elongated heel indeed. Don't have the bass in my hands right new, but there is a thickened area from the headstock towards the fretboard. The colour should be autumnglo
  3. Sounds like a coincidence(?) .. If it's something that rickenbacker did, it's unknown to me. But maybe someone recognizes this and has an explanation. The bolts are parallel to the pickup bolts, so I assume that the pickup cover had been mounted there. Just a theory though
  4. Nothing. My guess is that the pickup cover had been mounted there. I'm planning to fill them up and make them visually dissappear (as far as possible).
  5. Received this '78 yesterday. I've owned a 2006 4003 once, but this one plays way better with it's thinner neck. Sounds great too with enough meat on the bridge pickup, so probably the feared .47 cap has been removed earlier. The bass has a cream colored truss rod cover. It looks original to me, but haven't seen this before.
  6. Thought 1994/1995 (see pictures of date stamps in the ad). While inspecting closer, I think 1999 is a good possibility too. Hard to see.

  8. I love this kind of Japanese high end stuff.. Beautiful woods. Good price too, this will/must sell today!
  9. Yup, the best colour I've seen so far on this style basses. Congrats, it looks great. O and don't forget to pm me if you fall out of love with the mustang
  10. Bert bought my MM Sabre. Good and friendly communication, fast payment. Bert is a great guy to deal with. Enjoy the Sabre Bert, it's a good one!

  12. Davide was kind enough to respond to my wanted ad for an old Mustang Bass. He was very helpful to inform me about the bass and sent me good pictures to give a good impression. We made the deal quickly, and the bass was shipped to me well packed. Good communication throughout. The bass arrived yesterday, and needs some tweeking to set it up to my taste. But I'm sure I'll be enjoying it:) Thanks, it was a pleasure Davide
  13. Nice one Paul! I once had a Grand Suzuki copy that had more character than the original 4003 I owned later. Enjoy
  14. These are great sounding and playing basses, and better build quality than 70s Fenders. I've owned 2, that were both pretty heavy. Would love to find a light one if they exist
  15. In addition to the description; I've heard a guitar with this amp, and that really sounds awesome too. The guitar players really liked it, but of course couldn't purchase it because of having too many amps.
  16. Additional picture of 70s goodness (both are for sale/trade):
