  1. Instruments that left the factory with minor finish flaws were labeled second back in the day.

  3. The Ripper had been on hold for about 10 days... But no proceeding at buyers side yet, so still available. Tradewise Id be especially interested in an old Fender Mustang Bass (60s, early 70s). I have more gear available to shift in a trade
  4. The most almost sold bass ever is still available! Please note the price of €450 is fixed and doesn't include shipping or any extras. Cheers
  5. Those are great playing and sounding Fenders. Build quality is better than an average late 70s Fender ime. They tend to be equally heavy (5kg+) though. Value should be around £1500 indeed. Id love to own one again at some point, preferably a lighter one if they exist.

  7. Price lowered to €1.350 (which should be around £1.150).
  8. Music Man HD-150 Cool old Music Man amp. It's not the nicest one cosmetically, but it has just been serviced in August. A few components (resistors) were changed and it got a fresh set of matching tubes. Since then it had about 20 playing hours or so. The amp works like it should and sounds great. I used it with my bass with the channels bridged for more tonal control. I really like this amp, but I've also purchased a Bassman 135 two months back... And I decided that I like the bassman just a little better. I'm not a hoarder, so the Music Man amp may leave the house. Now €500 The amp is located in the Netherlands, but could be shipped at buyers risk and expense.
  9. I know the feeling. Basses just can be experienced different in various situations. I like the sound of a jazz a lot, but actually isn't my favorite when recording. A Stingray per example does a great job for me when recording, while I like the sound less when rehearsing... Anyway, that modulus (in flake finish) is still one of my "must own once" list since I've seen the footage of the RHCP concert at the red Square in 1999.

  11. I'm prepared to sell seperately. But please note I'm from the Netherlands, so shippingcosts are higher than inland shipping. This probably makes it unattractive to purchase a single item.
  12. Few pedals: All pedals are in great working condition. All except the Maxon have been purchased new by me and have barely or never left the house. They are basically in like new condition. The eden pedals both come with a European power supply. I'm asking €200 for all pedals together. If interested, I also have a few sets of strings left that could be sold along (maybe this is interesting because no extra shippingcosts need to be charged). All sets are new. Asking prices for the GHS sets are €25 each, the Fenders €12,50 and the Rotosound €10
  13. What a nice looking bass. It's natural refinish has a nice balance in color with the pickguard and chrome covers. It probably plays and sounds awesome.. If only blabla.... GLWTS!
  14. I think 44mm is standard for these basses, but haven't measured it yet. Did some measuring; it's 42mm
  15. Fender Japan 51 precision Great Japanese Fender reissue single coil precision bass. It's a great playing and sounding bass. The butterscotch finish is semi-transparant, so the nice woodgrain is shown. The bass is in good and fresh used condition without any significant damages. Build quality/fit/finish is very good, as is mostly the case with Japanese Fenders (ime). The neck is straight, and all hardware and electronics work like they should. The reverse tuners appear to have changed with regular turning original Fender mechanics. New fender nps 45-105 strings have been fitted last week. My kitchen scale says this P weighs 4,3 kilo's. Price is firm: €750 (approx £635) A simple gig bag is included, but I also have a few spare cases that could be sold along. The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship within europe/UK. Costs vary between 35-65 euro's, depending on packing method (neck removed from the body, or not), destination and a mount of insurance.
  16. I actually like the Getaway. It's the first RHCP album since Californication that I listen frequently. I haven't listened to stadium in a few years as It's where I lost my fanboy-ness for a while... In a way I was looking forward to a new album with Josh, but of course legend-wise it's cool to have John back..... As for one hot minute; it wasn't received well back than as people expected more like bssm. Though it's sort of a standalone RHCP album, I enjoy its weird dark vibe and think it's great in its own right.
  17. Thank you all! The Ripper indeed has a distinctive voice of its own. I like the grit with the mid control at 10, but it can sound a lot more modest too. And no, this Gibson does not sound muddy at all :).
