  1. The bend only works with strings with a round core - hex cores don’t need it. And the likelihood of slipping only occurs with pure nickel.. Funnily enough, the bending rule has been around for a long time - from the time when most strings were nickel round cores like Pyramid strings...
  2. Danish Oil is really easy as well... highly recommended
  3. Yes - this...
  4. I was really hoping this update by @Aero71 was to say it had been sold so I could stop coming back here....

  8. I quit one band as the lead singer/songwriter was basically a bully and decided the best course of action was to constantly tell me how bad I was and destroy any confidence I might have. Took 5 years to get over it and pluck up the courage to go to an audition.
  9. 3 more coats, and a slurry sanding and it’s ready for waxing once it’s dried:
  10. No, but I could have a go - I’d struggle to mic up the QSC tho. Let me have a think.
  11. That AMP!!!!! I remember those!!!!
  12. You know, you’d get a chunk back selling the neck on the AVRI P - they go for a fair few quid

  17. Overspray with amber nitro.
  18. Get yer drill out - it will be fine
  19. Cor blimey. It gets better. I purchased a DHA VTI-EQ-DI-STD from @TPJ Tried it into front end of Helix, through monitors and phones. Then DI into the K10.2. Blimey. I have a few Preamp DI pedals but this is something else. The valve Preamp makes a massive difference - the K10.2 sounds more cab like than it ever has and the warmth, punch, definition and tone is unbelievable. I tried the 64P in and it just came alive. Wow.
  20. She’s a learner but she’s definitely got that natural rhythm you need..
  21. You should hear her on drums
  22. I know the feeling well...
  23. Ordered. So, @MartinB - we should turn this thread into an "Interesting small wattage valve head story" and update progress/experience! No more procrastination. PF20t on the way.
