1. DiMarzio model One is the way to go, I replace the weak neck p/u on an old Epi EB-3 and it made a world of diffence.
2. Just got the bass Jamie shipped to me in Sweden. Very helpful and pleasant gent to business with. Good packaging and bass in superb condition and good setup. 5 stars!
3. Cheap chinese pickups has poor QA, output may vary. Some good, some not so much
4. a point in the last minute, the DP127 has a weak midrange than the DP122 (model P) If you want punch the midrange is the key IMHO
5. lovely. just wonder why they removed the neck tilt mechanism from the newer basses. It was a really nice feature
6. Love DiMarzio model Ps (and model Js) too. A bit hotter, a bit more punch without get out of balance.
7. lovely. Love my old L1000 and are craving for a better Jazz Bass. How is the neck profile on those compared to a Fender American Professional (which I feel very confy with)?
8. pbass67 bought some parts from me, good comms, fast payment. recommended
9. what would you consider a worthy trade, something more p-bassish?
10. Converted my Marcus Miller to passive, everybody loves the preamp but I guess I am an old fart who can't accept lots of knobs and batteries. Complete preamps and accessories from a Sire V7 Marcus Miller:

control plate for Jazzbas complete with Sire 18V preamp

active/passive-switch
volume/balance/tone in passive mode
3 band eq with sweepable mid control in active mode

2 pcs battery compartament for standard 9V batteries
3 pole Jack with power cut
Have not been throw around, a couple of calm gigs and homeplaying only, about 6 month old. buyer pays for shipping from Stockholm, Sweden. I check for shipping cost for interested parties, (but these are not heavy or bulky things so it would not be to expensive) the pickups are also for sale, buy both items and I will knock a tenner of the price.
11. Converted my Marcus Miller to Dimarzio model Js So these are for sale, more traditional JB sounding than the model J, buyer pays for shipping from Stockholm, Sweden. I check for shipping cost for interested parties, (but these are not heavy or bulky things so it would not be to expensive) the preamp on the pictures are also for sale, buy both items and I knock a tenner of the price.
12. that '61, sh*t pommes frites, as we say in Sweden
13. lovely, it should be pre-late-1985 since they started routing the control cavity from the back then, thus by metall plate under the pots and switches.
14. The new neck profile and the narrow vintage frets is just what I look for in a Jazz bass. An AMPro Jazz with maple fretboard will probably be my next bass. Just love how it feels

G&L Kiloton

standard spec of the Kiloton is a jazz-style neck while the L1000 and L1500 have a broader p-style neck. Love to try one, but living in Sweden it will probably not be possible.
16. check out the "mod bar" first, solves the most obvious problems with the EB-3 bridge, great improvement for pocket change.
