  1. The break runs down to about 4th or 5th fret in the back of the neck so you would lose an awful lot of scale length, maybe 5 or 6 inches at a guess. Also you would need an entire refret or new fretboard for that to work as well as all the headless bits like bridge and neck plate etc. Really it is only worth the value of the components which is £200 tops if the bridge is solid brass and not alloy
  2. what is your point? the guy in Aus could be selling at a loss to get rid of stock/unwanted item.

Claude is a true gent and a pleasure to deal with. Buy with confidence
  4. Yes you can buy replacement truss rod covers from the Warwick shop. They sell them to everyone except TheGreek who they tell they have run out of stock or ship him the wrong one just to spite him On a serious note, i have only ever had excellent customer service from Warwick. I once phoned them, i cant remeber why, but HPW himself answered the phone!

    Luverly!
  6. It originally had a black poly finish. No photos sorry.
  7. Lovely looking that is. Hand made and well specced bass for £750 seems very good value to me!
  8. This seems to be the crucial detail missing from the OP!
  9. looks a bargain
  10. wow that was a spot of luck lol. Re. price, its very tricky esp with Warwicks. Yours is a rather unusual/rare one that is definitely a cut above the usual LXs and in very good nick. It's rarity can demand a higher price for the right person but will also make people looking for a "regular" LX shy away as it will be almost 3 times the price. It may be that advertising it on Ebay and or Reverb with International shipping available will help you find the right buyer for it due to their much wider and more global audience(no disrespect meant to BC)
  11. The controls are curious. I see the two smaller toggles are for coil selection on each of the pups but the larger toggle is a 3-way for pup selection? strange as the pots seem to be: stacked volume/blend, mid, stacked treb/bass? is this right? just seems weird to have 3 way toggle for pup selection and a blend pot. probably just me getting it completely wrong...
  12. ah ok so twin jazz pup like in the bridge pos of my Infinity SN TCS. Cracking pups with a phat but hi-def sound
  13. no doubt it is mate. that grain on the back of the headstock is unmistakable
  14. well the Barts are an option from Warwick as well and I love them in my Streamer in which they were factory fit.
  15. lovely, not seen a 6 string BO with a Wenge neck before! that must have been an expensive option at the time knowing Warwick
  16. Jesus wept, what has happened here??? https://reverb.com/item/9692862-warwick-streamer-1994-6-string-bass-modified Never mind the top horn, look at the bloody neck joint fiasco. something about the rest of it doesnt seem right to me either.
  17. leave this one mate, the repair would be very difficult as there is a lot of wood missing when you compare the headstock to the remains of the neck. it's worth £100 for the parts IMO
  18. Sale preferred but trades of equal or lesser value(with cash my way) considered.
