1. 1974 Gibson Les Paul Triumph Bass Features: - Laminated mahogany set neck, with rosewood fretboard - Natural mahogany finish - 30 1/2 inch scale (actually three eighths of an inch) - 24 frets - Two low impedance humbucking pickups - Hi or Low immpedance modes - Body size length: 17 1/4 inch width: 12 3/4 inch depth 2 inch - Width at nut 1 1/2 inch. CONTROLS: Bass, Treble and Volume - Tone Selector Three settings: hi, normal and deep bass - Phase Control Only works when both pickups are selected - Impedance Selector Hi for live use or Low for studio use (or live use with a Low-Impedance amplifier) Have owned this bass for several years and up until a few months ago was regularly used for gigs, practicing and recording. However I have recently purchased my dream bass and so this is no longer being played. It is in excellent condition – a few marks here and there but 'mojo' only. The only major defect is the mark where someone (not me!) one fitted a thumb rest, this is only cosmetic. Plays and sounds awesome! Doesn't have the original hard case but does have a new Epiphone case which fits perfectly (the original Gibson cases tended to fall apart quite easily which is why they are rare – this one offers much better protection). Cash on collection from York area. Would prefer not to post due to size, weight and value but if buyer wishes to arrange a courier I will try to package as best as possible. Would also consider local delivery. PRICE DROP - £1650 ono
2. Hi mate, thanks for the PM! I'm in, depending on the date. Sunday would be a better day as unlikely to be gigging. I'll probably just bring the Fender Aerodyne, maybe the Gibson Les Paul (if I've bought it by then) given how much interest it got when Stag brought it last year! MuckedUpFunkies - me & Stag will be going from Norwich, if you want a lift I'm sure we could sort something out.
3. I've seen this in the flesh and it is truly stunning - the pics really don't do it justice. It plays really well too, great tone and surprisingly lightweight. Congrats to Mr Stag for finally getting his hands on the bass of his dreams!
4. Hi, I'm afraid this was sold this morning, thanks for the interest.
5. For sale is my Hartke 210 bass cab, I am selling as I no longer use this as I have upgraded to a bigger cab. It is in perfect working order but the "carpet" type covering is a little tatty as my cats have been using it as a bed for the last few months! Item to be collected only due to size & weight although local delivery will be considered for a small extra to cover petrol. Original manual is included. Pics to follow. Looking for £100 ONO. 6. Wow. Just, wow. Looking at this is making me go all tingly "down there".
7. I think they're made in US or Japan. Not sure they actually make them anymore though! They sound like a cross between a Jazz and a Precision (which it basically is). You can adjust the sound to make it sound more like a Precision, more like a Jazz or somewhere in the middle.
8. Just thought I'd flash my shiny Fender Aerodyne Precision, recently purchased on BC from Alhbass. I saw this for sale on here when Al bought it & was kicking myself I didnt buy so when it came up again I had to have it. I was a little wary about it, having not played it first, but I can honestly say its a truly stunning bass - and it looks even better in the flesh! 9. Another Norwich boy here - welcome to the forum! If you're looking for a small & light cab I'd recommend the Hartke Hydrive 410. Ask Dood - he has TWO of them!
10. Just bought Al's stunning Fender Aerodyne Precision - pleasure to do business with & a lovely bass!
11.
Nope I love it too!!
Me too - a truly lovely looking bass!
12. First bass owned: Encore Precision Go-to bass: Fender Precision Your bass: Fender Precision I can see a theme developing there.....
13. Ooooooooooooooh. Stag's right - BIG LOVE for this bass! I'm surprised it been on here this long. Unfortunately I don't think my bonus will stretch to a new car AND bass
14. Surprised this hasn't been snapped up yet! Lovely looking bass and probably sounds pretty awesome too!
15. Oh and I'd be happy to try & help with the next one if you want.
16. I don't suppose anyone found a line 6 wireless receiver lying around afterwards did they? Mine's gone missing & I think it may have fallen out of my gig bag.
