1. 4ms Tremulus Lune: It's the Dual LFO version with expression pedal input and buttloads of controls. In great but not perfect condition, the paint is chipped around the edges but it's purely cosmetic. After £110 Posted Special Delivery. Robot Factory Meatwad: I've ummed and aahed about parting with this, as it's the best filter I've ever had, but I'm just not using it's full potential, the Xerograph fulfills my modest filter needs at the moment, so it's time for this to go. I think this is an early one as it has hand painted graphics rather than silkscreened. This one doesn't have an effect loop, it has expression pedal input and an external trigger input for the envelope. In decent condition, some minor chipping around the edges but otherwise great. [s]After £120 Posted Special Delivery [/s] SOLD Markbass Super Synth: In absolutely pristine condition with box, manual and power supply. [s]After £160 Posted Special Delivery[/s]. SOLD. DOD Meatbox: You all know what this is, thunderous octave/sub-harmonic/Uber EQ. In very good condition, some minor chipping on the top but otherwise excellent. Got it from sibob as broken and I've repaired it, now in perfect working order. I'm not looking to make a massive profit on it so I'm looking for [s]£120 Posted Special Delivery[/s]. SOLD. Board shot: Would consider trades for an SM57, or similar mic, plus cash, or maybe something else.
2. If he makes a new batch of cygnets then I'm on board.
3. 4ms Tremulus Lune take your fancy? The dual LFO one with 11 knobs (and 3 switches).
4. I can't seem to write anything that's not up tempo prog metal at the moment. I'll see if I can make it work.
5. There's definitely a wobble to it, if the Zoom has an LFO filter that'll probably get you closest, otherwise distortion > envelope filter > touch of tremolo will emulate it well enough.
6. A quacky filter, distortion, and a shallow tremolo should get you close by the sound of it.
7. Weird ultra-low tunings ahoy - guitar is currently in drop Gb...
8. Back in the saddle this month, although the idea I've currently got may or may not just be Interstellar by Amplifier...
9. Ahh, Mr. Agreeable is back. All of his "reviews" are basically form letters full of unnecessarily self0censored swear words into which he "find and replaces" the pertinent band and album name that are today's targets of his somnolent trickle of watery, mendacious bile. There is no genuine resonance of sentiment here, just the death throes of a cynic clinging desperately to his last shred of relevance.
10.
Tell me more! What is it? Where can I get one?
Nothing more impressive than my normal bass played very badly with a cello bow I'm afraid.
11. If it arrives in time and I can actually remember how to do it, my entry will include some bowed electric bass, for full post-rock pretentiousness.
12. This'll be it for a while once I get the Ghost Echo situated, I think phase 1 of my board rebuild is completed, phase 2 begins with an expression pedal and one of those mission multi-expression-ma-bobs. Need to decide whether I can fit them on here (plus a few more pedals) or to bite the bullet and upsize: "Fun" "Fact": The Ghost Echo takes me to an even 50 knobs, at an average of 3.57 per pedal.
13. Got an idea. I'm experimenting with the major scale. But the main riff is in 13/8 so I'm still in my comfort zone.

15.
Pardon my ignorance, but the video makes me feel nauseous as it never holds a shot for more than half a second. Someone got a bit too busy on the edit button I feel. Anyway, it moves to quick for me to see, is he playing chords on the bass or single notes and using the effects to beef it up? Can't help thinking someone should buy him a strat for his next Birthday... if you want to play lead then why not play lead on a lead guitar? Its a bit like trying to play trumpet on a tuba to me. Very skilful, but ultimately a bit pointless. Cheers, Rich
Because a guitar still wouldn't sound like that, it's still very bassy for most of the song. And he wants to play it on bass, why shouldn't he? Basses and Guitars are just metal wires pulled across a plank of wood with a couple of magnets in it. On the bass/drums duos front: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efSwcRW1X-Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjgNNyHuxd0
16.
In a word: no! Well... I'm discovering that I know some scales because they sound right, but not because I know they are scales. I get the basic major/minor but not much beyond that. Although I do understand their usefulness and have set myself the goal of learning more.
That's what happened to me. A couple of years ago I finally decided to sit down and actually learn scales and theory properly. It turns out I'd already figured most of it out just based on what sounded good.
17. I went in to buy a pot(entiometer) once. It was exhausting. I asked for a 10k pot. The guy didn't know what it was. I asked for a 10k linear 16mm panel mount potentiometer. The guy still didn't know what it was. I described the function and appearance of a potentiometer. The guy still didn't know what it was. I found and pointed at it in the catalogue. The guy had never seen one before. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to. He went and got his supervisor. The entire process repeated. I asked if they could just let me in the stock room and I would find it myself. They said they couldn't do that. They both went to look for it. 10 minutes later they both returned. With a 1k pot. I left. I cried for the world.
18. Had a PA100 mk.1 for a while. Sold it. Regretted it immediately. Now have a PA100 mk.2 that I vow to never let go. Fantastic amps.
19. Picks have a very special property. When unobserved they can create micro-singularities, the gravitational pull then attracts the pick through the singularity and into the nth-dimensional nega-universe from which all picks originate. There is no way to reverse or mitigate this effect. If you take your eyes off a pick, it will disappear for ever. The only effective means of combating this is to buy what we scientists refer to as a "s**t-ton" of them.
20.
I wanted an Emma a while ago, not so much what I am after now but had no idea it suffered low end loss?
Can't say I experienced any low end loss personally. On it's own, it's mild to the point of indifference, you really have to dig in to get any kind of quack out of it. But run a fuzz into it and it really comes alive, every setting on it is useable and I never had any headroom issues, I've considered getting one again just for running with fuzz. I've come to the conclusion that a filter that sounds really great and quacky on it's own just has too many problems with fuzz. I've got a meatwad ant the moment. Great on it's own, but it takes a f***ing age to dial in any sort of useable sound with a fuzz, and even then I have to watch how hard I play for fear of making it mad.
21. I suspect Bilbo and I might be on the same page with this one, all I can see is The Scouring of the Shire...
22. I... kinda like it. Does that make me an awful person?
23.
What about Bb, B, Db, F, G, ? They don't have position markers either, or have I misread ?
In standard tuning (which is what we seem to be assuming), Bb is third fret on the G string, B is 9th fret on the D string, Db is 9th fret on the E string, F is 3rd fret on the D string and G is 5th fret on the D string, so all covered by fret markers.
