1. Cover pic. It is very slightly (and I mean VERY slightly) frayed at the bottom. And there is a bit of mud on it.
2. Berg AE212. Not immaculate but excellent nick. £650 to your door.
3. Righteous tone!

Yourock guitar

I have just posted this in the Sonuus thread, but figured it might be of general interest http://soundcloud.com/owen-lloyd-evans/mocha-yourock-2 I have uploaded a brief doodle I did into a logic synth with no quantisation or anything. I am more than aware that it could usefully be tidied, but it is just as an example of plug and play synthy goodness. It goes straight in on USB and is just recognised as a controller. You can change tunings and have it respond as a 6 string bass tuning. It has mod knobage and a whammy bar. The sound I used in Logic has portamento programmed in. You have to use a plec, but it really is a lot of fun for approx £130 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Inspired-Instruments-YRG-1000-Rock-Guitar/dp/B003DC78FW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320101633&sr=8-1

7. The strings will settle into stability soon.
8. My daughter decided she wanted to play the flute. Being indulgent muso parents we bought one. She has played it perhaps 12 times. It is in as new condition. They seem to go for £299. To your door for £225 Need it you know your child does.
9. I guess I should pile in here as I am running one of the new Acme 12" cabs. I cannot and am not speaking for any of the other cabs mentioned here but there is nothing "Maplin DIY" about the Acme. It is totally doing it for me - I bought it for a small rig for when I do not want to haul a bigger rig around (and we have all been there). It is a 4 ohm one and I am driving it with a GK MB Fusion which does 500w at that impedance. It has the low end extension that everyone refers to when discussing Acme cabs - it comfortably breathes all the way down to bottom B without getting shy at the lowest frequencies. It is light and easy to move around. I think it is slightly bigger than most of "super 12" cabs but it is shifting air effortlessly. I have not yet stacked it up against loud drums and distorted guitars, that is not why I bought it, I have other things that do that. I will do so at some stage - just to see. I am loving it.
10. <sigh> I have been waiting for one of these to come up for ages. Now the one I have ordered from the US is sitting in customs waiting for me. It is always the way
11. I forgot to put my feet back down. If you look carefully at the audience, you can imagine that they were even more bemused after that.
12. I have an NS5. It does what it does in the way I want it. I have a friend who is looking for something similar. Could someone clue me up about the preamp situation in the cheaper NS ranges? Do they need an external preamp for righteous tone?
13. Bump for trades for Honeys
14. I can recommend the Chevins. I regret selling mine to John . The A500 will bridge 700w into 8ohms. It is lush beyond.
15. It is indeed on of the early batch of Korean MTD. The early ones had better tone But to be serious, I have been through squillions of basses costing an awful lot more and I keep coming back to this. The neck is the comfiest (YMMV) I have played and it is very light indeed. That ticks a lot of boxes for me. I have a permanent search on Ebay for another. They are not "the bass of the moment" and can be picked up very cheaply indeed. I love it.
16.
I'd be interested if it was a Deep 5!
If it was a deep 5 I would already have contacted the owner and he would have cancelled the auction because I would have bought it.
17. Tragically, I knew what the bass was before I even opened the thread.
18. I bought this here recently http://basschat.co.u...-for-sale-sold/ I then had my (!) luthier change it from a 34" scale to a 38" scale by re-fitting the bridge and adjusting the soundpost. It is a startlingly beautiful piece of lutherie work and I could look at it hanging on my wall happily for a long time. The reason I am selling is that I cannot get with a slightly shorter scale than I am used to 41"/42". It sounds petty but that is how it is. I know lots of EUBs are 38" but it threw me off balance so it is being offered up here. It has a set of Spiros on it a Fishman full cirlce. The red cable ties are there to hold the jack plug safely. I have not got around to trimming them yet. See the original thread for more pics, bearing in mind that the bridge has moved south since they were taken and the tailpiece set up is different as well. If you wanted to convert it back to 34" scale length I still have all the bits to do so and I would be happy to put it back to as it was. I will try and get some sound clips up at some stage, but it really does sound like a DB with a pick up on it. It is pretty lush, want it you know you do. £1200
19. That pic is a bit late by now!
20. Here is a pic of the Bart in it's present home. (Yes, it is the best strap in the world.)
21. I have a Bart after market wide MM5 pick up. They are replacements for Korean MTD basses which are 19mm. Let me know if you fancy it
22.
Sime17. I can hardly believe what I'm reading. I wont use this medium to discuss the ups and downs of being Welsh. However, I think its important that other forum members are fully aware that not all us Welsh people have such an inferiority complex and negative view of our wonderful country and language. Mwlsyn yffarn(spit) Col
This. <sigh>
