I know exactly nothing. I'm still very much wearing L plates. But I'd say learn to read. It's a great skill and will get you playing all sorts all over the neck. And get your hands on anything in bass clef. Musical scores, mamma mia, phantom, etc. Interesting stuff and will get you playing in different styles. You can buy reading books just to help you learn to read which are good.
I fear I may have entered the five string world before gaining a good knowledge of the basics and fundamentals on the four string. Does anyone have light they can shed on this? Or am I being a crazy man?
I use in ears all the time now when gigging, either on bass or on the drums. They're wonderful. And you can get some quite cheap these days. I'd say go for that and a Di box if your amp doesn't have a Di out. What is your amp and speaker?
Heeeeeeeeeeeelp. I just bought a second hand amp from a very nice chap on here. I used it in rehearsal last night, after 4 or 5 songs it started making what I can best describe as white noise ish........ a lot of grumbling going on. Anybody got any idea??? I'm thinking pre amp tube because it seemed to be as it warmed up. As previously stated, I am originally a drummer so this is all new and I haven't a clue.
I love the amp (swr) so I really want to get it sorted out.
Cheers
I think it looks good. I liked my old Hartke amp. They're late to the game so maybe they've stolen the best bits from all the competitors?? Hahaha hahaha hahaha
