  1. I like that. Very Moustache esque bridge but looks killer. I was looking at the Epiphone Hummingbird as my first foray into acoustics but this looks equally nice. Happy NGD!
  2. Si600 - Nothing. You've already seen all my stuff and if the weather is nice I want to get the bike out 2. Norris - Ampeg BA-108 and Yamaha TRBX305 3. SpondonBassed - Pitbull IB5 (bass built from kit) if I can blag a lift and return for Enderby 4. Andyjr1515 - Kert's Camphor Singlecut; Pete's EB-3 tribute; Pete's Piccolo Bass 5. Jabba_the_gut - Some self build basses, Blackline 250 head and TC RS112 cabs 6. Harryburke360 - the return of the red jazz bass, should act as a "here's one I made earlier" for Andy. Also probably the Shatesbury Rick 4001 Copy as long as no representative of the Hall family is invited.
  3. youve just reminded me Paul, I'll get the machines I have sent to you before the week is out if that is any help?

  5. I will bring the red Jazz bass and maybe the Shaftesbury 4001 as long as no one informs Mr Hall. Currently without an amp so don't know what to do there.
  6. Making me think of Ian Holloway. So wrong it's frightening.
  7. Had a mare. Saturday was my birthday, and after several double rum and cokes I found myself in the local boozer listening to a covers band blasting Cocaine by Clapton. Inspired by the guitarists neat playing of what turned out to be the Clapton Custom Shop strat, I ordered a strat copy from Alan George on Facebook - the highest spec one he had. He gave me a tidy discount too due to my drunken ramblings and it being my birthday. So now I have a bank statement that's not very pretty (more due to buying booze than anything else) and a guitar that historically I can't get good sounds from. What I may do, seeing as I enjoyed the Clapton strat, is put in the noiseless pickups and midboost TBX stuff, see if I can coax any good noises that way.
  8. Yeah she's here, also picked up a Blackstar Beam from someone on here - getting some lovely sounds and having fun learning some of my favourite songs. Going to look into online tuition courses or a rough order of what to learn and google how to do those things. So far having a great time with it.

  10. Lets not forget the work Andy did to mine - the build thread is somewhere. That bass started as one of these Bentons.
  11. well I managed to bag a B stock one for just over £100. Surely can't go wrong with that?
  12. ordered me a Harley Benton TE52 should be here by next weekend. Happy days
  13. A little bit overkill for my needs really. I'll have a look at the Yamaha thing - any ideas how much a used one goes for?
  14. Hi all, So here's the quandry. I currently do not have space in my room for both a bass amp and a guitar amp, but need both. I also want to put a desk in the room somewhere to work from while I am at uni. This leaves me with basically no space. So, does anyone know of any amps small enough to sit on or under a desk that sound decent enough to practice at home with using either/both a guitar and bass? Also, being a student, the cheaper the better. Cheers,
  15. well I set myself a budget of £200 for everything so take the guitar out of that and its about £75 ish
  16. Speaking of the TBird, just sold on EBay for more than I had it listed here 😅 Will order in the next few days - will leave this thread open for suggestions of Multi-FX, Amps or even other guitars. At the minute, either the Harley Benton TE-52, TE-70 Paisley or TE-80 Prince copy are the choices.
  17. I hadn't looked at these before, but considering the better hardware and pickups over the TE30 I think it might be worth a punt. Will order as soon as my Epiphone Thunderbird sells...

  19. I got the chance yesterday to play both the Heavily modded Telecaster that started all of this as well as one of the Harley Benton TE-30s (albeit that had been modded up too). The TE30 was outstanding. I know it had lots of work done to it, but for £90 or so delivered to your door, I am strongly considering it above the Les Paul SL - which is sold out pretty much everywhere and is more expensive when you consider delivery costs etc.
  20. Sledgehammer with Peter Gabriel was my first thought. I'm such a weird not-quite-20 year old 😅 Either that or Mr Blue Sky with all of ELO. That would be pretty special as a Bluenose.
