I thought this was the standard VBF:
Barge do alot of custom work mine also has blend and 100% wet but no feedback loop
But OTOH, Passive blenders mess with your impedance and can cause all kinds of hum and hiss.
+1 and phasing issues and volume problems because instead of doubling your signal and splitting it they halve it and split it. Cheapest way to do active blending is a Boss LS-2, but the Barge stuff is top notch as is the Xotic X-Blender.
Yep, I got the MDF offcut cut to fit a flight case I have. You can see the base of it in this photo: The only problem I have with it is that it's a little ungainly... the "lid" for it is much bigger than it needs to be, and the whole case has to be carried horizontally. I've already lost a fair bit of knuckle skin carrying it into our rehearsal space. I'm toying with the idea of getting one of these and converting it into a pedal board case: http://www.theelectronicsshop.co.uk/flight...howmaster48.htm (The case that is, not the contents... works out at about £50)
I could be interested in that case if you replace it, my band needs something for our multi track and things. Cheers
Chain is... Wireless Korg DT-10 tuner MXR Supercomp compressor MXR MicroAmp volume boost (for tapping mainly) Boss OD-20 distortion modeller (I don't like this. It could be good if the signal was blended though... I'd still rather just get better distortions as well...) Boss CE-2B chorus (I like this a lot) Boss OC-2 octaver (pretty slick, but I wish I hadn't sold the PS-5 on, the polyphony on that pwned this, though this is pretty characterful) Digitech Whammy IV (best pedal for dumb noises - I know it should be at the beginning of the chain for best tracking, but I love the crappy tracking sound, I don't use it for playing things high, I have a 7 string for that) Ernie Ball 6166 volume pedal Danelectro Wasabi delay (good delay, but in a crappy place on the board) Line 6 DL4 delay/looper (great fun) Powered by a Diago powestation, on a Diago board. Thanks to some of the BC'ers who have contributed to the pedals on the board Taken at a gig tonight. Not really happy with it, and there's always stuff I want to add, but there you go
Ok get this....... wait for it...... don't say this often over here but nice board. Have you considered a burkey power supply as it should power eveything on your board. Also for distortions have a look for my sound clips on the Tone Factor mule I remember speaking to tonefactor and them saying they had a second hand one they could do cheap if your interested it's an awesome distortion.

I tired the bassdrive it's erm............. in a word crap I found it very unimpressive and all in all it's just a TS Clone very very overpriced in my humble opinion
-
I've heard lots of people say this. Have you really tried it? I've not, but I wonder how/if it really works?
Heard soundclips of it working and know people that have sold Octron's for them and the only reason you would sell a lush sounding analog octave for the sterile digital one is tracking from what I've heard it goes down to low b and can handle chords and I've heard these claims from a hell of a lot of people.
-
Just to put the Micro Pog above the Whammy it is polyphonic so it can handle chords and the tracking is better than a whammy but they both has a similar digitally tone (yuk)
