Nords - almost universal except the Cuzzie household, where they would be stored somewhere beneath my skiddy pants. A lot to be said about basses across the range just like cars from a supermini through to performance/family wagons, or sticking to a couple of high class /niche models like Tesla or in this case Ricks. Bassist from Clutch has one, saw/heard it live - sounded pretty darn good and Glenn Hughes pops his out every now and again. I have always been sort of attracted and sort of not by them, and of course in my formative years may have been swayed by wafts and waves of opinions, but you know what, played one, bloody good bass and bloody good fun, and makes total sense if you are running some form or bite to your signal, thumbs up to it whether the owner is a bell End or not. Not enough to sway me from my current lot, but very good

And I have to say having seen her on this last tour. She looks great, pretty much as good as ever. She sounds great Its a bloody good show

@MaudeYou are lucky - I had high aspirations of such but owing to my face to match my voice for radio best I could realistically muster was probably Marilyn Manson so the pass remains in-negotiated. Hoping I may mature like a fine claret

Exactly! Need: strings are dead - need a new set Tone pot on bass becomes crackly and needs replacement aside from cleaning. Amp blows up - need another Realise that compression is key to bass - get one and learn how to use it

The minute rules are set out, people will always flaunt or bend them for their own needs! 2 categories could be easier. Want and Need. Buy/trade only for gear you need in 2019, and do nothing in the want/wouldn’t mind/might be nice category. Allow yourself 1 exception which is named before the year starts if it comes up at a great deal.

I have to say I have always appreciated her, but never been a fan. Saw her on her recent tour, yes she has a ‘quiet’ voice as opposed to weak, but we all can’t have a foghorn. She was plainly very very very good - show had the right amount of everything, band were good and tight and the bassist uses a Sandberg. Happy days, well deserved IMO

Agreed with above Dont get a Fender Starcaster - complete bollox, mudbucker pick ups are fluffy, look cool but not great.
