  1. @Wolverinebass now now, don’t be rash, we can always squeeze one more in....
  2. Nords - almost universal except the Cuzzie household, where they would be stored somewhere beneath my skiddy pants. A lot to be said about basses across the range just like cars from a supermini through to performance/family wagons, or sticking to a couple of high class /niche models like Tesla or in this case Ricks. Bassist from Clutch has one, saw/heard it live - sounded pretty darn good and Glenn Hughes pops his out every now and again. I have always been sort of attracted and sort of not by them, and of course in my formative years may have been swayed by wafts and waves of opinions, but you know what, played one, bloody good bass and bloody good fun, and makes total sense if you are running some form or bite to your signal, thumbs up to it whether the owner is a bell End or not. Not enough to sway me from my current lot, but very good
  3. And I have to say having seen her on this last tour. She looks great, pretty much as good as ever. She sounds great Its a bloody good show
  4. @Bobthedog my phone nearly exploded. Who was that lady reading the book, I may have a chance!
  5. @MaudeYou are lucky - I had high aspirations of such but owing to my face to match my voice for radio best I could realistically muster was probably Marilyn Manson so the pass remains in-negotiated. Hoping I may mature like a fine claret
  6. @Maude Considering you are an attractive bloke, have you not negotiated a free pass for a minogue on the off chance?
  7. I presumed he was talking about the legends slot, but I am wonderfully innocent
  8. @AndyTravis so you are well and truly backnplaying again now! In the small print of the advert, they say you have to own nearly every model of Yamaha made
  9. Other objective could be make all transactions cash neutral
  10. I can see it now. A crowd funding page set up for Andy T to own every BB model made would get my support
  11. @AndyTravis Do it Do it Do it Do it i looked, again this has your name on it
  12. If you look closely, I can actually see your name written on it
  13. Unless it’s been trashed, it will be around, hunt it down!
  14. I think you should get it Rasta Claus over here says so You have been a good boy
  15. Wow, revived after 2 years - what actually happened with the OP?!
  16. Why not just play the fundamental and octave all the time? Guitarist can shift what they play
  17. Massive steal underrated model of the Sandy range GLWTS
  18. Aye - last one was tongue in cheek.....
  19. Exactly! Need: strings are dead - need a new set Tone pot on bass becomes crackly and needs replacement aside from cleaning. Amp blows up - need another Realise that compression is key to bass - get one and learn how to use it
  20. Maybe you actually read my posts instead of skimming the first and last bit to find out the whodunnit at the end!
  21. The minute rules are set out, people will always flaunt or bend them for their own needs! 2 categories could be easier. Want and Need. Buy/trade only for gear you need in 2019, and do nothing in the want/wouldn’t mind/might be nice category. Allow yourself 1 exception which is named before the year starts if it comes up at a great deal.
  22. Pre CBS is more historic, and a landmark in an era. JV squier’s hold a special place as well in their value. In the grand scheme of things holding value, a Chinese made shortscale May not have the same gravitas no matter how well made it is or how few were made, especially with other well made short scales available and more popular now. It is all IMHO as is yours, and I agree sellers prerogative, it’s a nice bass, but I think it’s movement is independent of the festive season. Still though GLWTS
  23. Not hating, but it might be because the new price of the bass was significantly less than the used price it is listed as......
  24. I have to say I have always appreciated her, but never been a fan. Saw her on her recent tour, yes she has a ‘quiet’ voice as opposed to weak, but we all can’t have a foghorn. She was plainly very very very good - show had the right amount of everything, band were good and tight and the bassist uses a Sandberg. Happy days, well deserved IMO
  25. Agreed with above Dont get a Fender Starcaster - complete bollox, mudbucker pick ups are fluffy, look cool but not great.
