  1. I'd say not too bad. For a start, he has to measure up and make a one off template. If the whole job took half a day, assuming the body he was working with wasn't some awful ply based rubbish, then 4 hours work at £25 an hour is fine.
  2. I wonder if he knows our guitarist ? His name is Keith Skerrett
  3. Our gittard did some work for Jamiraquai out in Buckinghamshire at JK's mansion ( my pal is ex Solid State Logic whizz kid ) and when he arrived there, he met the whole band and they were mostly a real friendly bunch, including SZ, but not including JK. Apparently, he was a miserable dyck head, wasn't having a laugh with the band but wandering around outside, surveying his kingdom and counting his money in his head. He then kicked off over one of the band, or someone else maybe, about crumbs in the honey jar. Cocky twart
  4. Our drummist is a real groove monster and tighter than a nun's chuff. Very easy to play with if you like to groove a smidge
  5. Just scored some used condoms. One careful owner. Extra large. *cough*
  6. One of the ultimate P bass tones from John Wetton ( RIP ) through HiWatt guitar amps, so he said. Live, , well back in the early 70's anyways, 2 x 100 watt heads Get under your headphones. This is awesome
  7. On hold pending Off hold - for sale once more.
  8. Agreed. Only other musicians ( and mainly bass players ) would even care.
  9. Sounds like you suffered a blank premmie. Your missus will explain.
  10. I agree that kit looks way over the top, and he didn't play anything like such a monstrosity when he was with Dale Bozzio and Missing Persons. I seem to recall though, that he had a fair old kit during the Zappa years
  11. Most genuine Ovations have a headstock logo , and that one above has nothing, so i'm tending to go with non branded copy. Maybe
  12. Just found the Imbuya Burl bass on Chris's website. I can't help staring at this bass. It's a dream http://www.chrislarkinguitars.com/instruments-gallery/electric-bass-guitars/imbuya-5.html
  13. Thanks for the correction Christoph. What a beautiful bass
  14. What colour is this ? I'm colour blind
  15. Chris speaking about using non tropical woods. A real trooper
  16. Looking at the front row, far right, i think that used to be on his website, and looks like it has the Imbuya Burl body face. What a stunning collection of Chris Larkin's impeccable builds
  17. I know. That's why i said, and posted " a few " and also said there's more. I couldn't be donkeyed to post them all
  18. Likewise, i sent a bass to Wunjo ( they arranged via UPS ) - an '83 vintage Overwater - gulp ! - it arrived safely. Wunjo then sent bass back by ..gulp !... UPS It arrived safely. Bingo
  19. I think because it's not 100% - just a few but there's more Science Ancient Glacier
  20. Built by some hairy primate with a pipe wrench. What a steal at nearly 300 sovs
