1. Are they going to replace the neck free of charge ? if they are, then surely the postage costs involved would be cheaper than paying for a de-fret.
2. I've used the same Whirlwind cable for 12 years or so,no problems. The spare that i got at the same time is still unused in the wrapper.
3. So am i,i only copied his original headline. I like The Guitar Store in Glasgow,i always get a good deal from them.
4. Found this elswhere. Hello all Need a bit of help/input. I am opening a shop in the southside of Glasgow and yes its a bass shop! As far as i am aware there are no specialist shops for us in Scotland and i find the range available in most instrument shops to be somewhat lacking, i intend to sell through the shop but also online to the rest of the country and should have delearships in place to cover everyone from beginners to pros, question i need some input for are 1) Would you welcome a specialist bass shop in Scotland 2) How often would you anticipate using it 3) Are you more likely to visit the shop or order online? 4) How much (roughly) do you spend on bass gear, accesories etc per year 5) What would you most like to see in the shop. If you can answer any of these it would be a great help either here or by email to [email protected] thanks in advance jj
5. I have a fretted 5,body not 2 different shades, lovely neck, pots work just fine, huge array of tones for what it cost,i've had it a few years, would proberbly never sell it.BUT.I just can't seem to want to gig with it,i do'nt know if it's the pickups or the active circuit,i seem to spend more time fannying about with the controls than playing it.But,it does play nice.I think mine looks better now that the body has been waxed,it looked and felt unfinished before.

7.
Think I saw that a while back, looked like the ultimate vintage Fender bass to me
It cost me £100 + a Cort Les Paul,that i had bought for £70,about 12 years ago.
8. I used to have a 70's Telecaster bass with,Dimazio EB in the neck,P pup in the usual place and a Jazz pup in it,massive array of tones, but weighed about 1/4 ton.
9. My Marshall DBS was £400,i think,Head+!x15+2x10-1x15 cabs.LOUD,PUNCHY,HEAVY. My Carlsboro Delta Rig was £225,300w head+4x10-1x15 cabs.

13. Yep,it's the only way.The pickup screws go through the pick guard at the front, and through the body at the bridge end,so,if you were to take the front or rear screws out,you would never get the springs back in.If the bass was'nt so playable it would be in the bin.It only rarely got used,T.V & video basically, when it was working ok,+ the wife bought me it.
14. It will get the MM,and either 1 or 2 of the lipsticks, all this will be done at the same time. The body is 2 piece,in that the front screws to the back, which needs to be seperated to get at the wiring and to take the pickups out.
15. I personally do'nt.If you thought too much about where and how things were made, and were really bothered about it,you wouldnt buy anything, that goes not just for musical instruments, but most foreign, especially far eastern produced goods,T.V/fridge/clothes/food etc etc.
16. Singular pickup readings, all,to all points and purposes the same.It is registering, but for some reason it is quiter than the others. Replacement pickup will be MM type, body will need routing, and new scratchplate making. It may or may not get one,or two of the good pickups in the neck position.
17. G & D pups swapped over, problem has moved to D string,so it is the pup,but they are still all reading the same output.Plan B,new pickup.
18.
Still doesn't have enough frets which kind of defeats the object...
What ? less than 12 ???
19. Thanks. They are lipstick types, all 4 join at the vol pot,and have been tested for output. It's really confusing.Next option is to change out the pickups.
