2.
Oh and I refuse to play All Right Now, ever again, piggin hate it
+1, Guitarist: "why aren't you playing in the intro?!"
 3. Pretty much all the covers we covered in a covers band I was in, mainly the rubbish bits of classic rock. Being told I was playing 'smoke on the water' wrong, by not following the guitar was the last straw
 4. Measure twice, cut once
 5. Don't think it's a J, so my guess is #4
 6.
Here's a clip of me with my original 15 string bass (from the 90's).
I like what you're doing here. We've all been there, pushed for time at the end of the set, the sound guy tapping his watch, the bar waiting to cash up. Four songs left on the set list, which do you play? Genius solution: Everyone plays one song each. At the same time. IBTL
 7. A while ago I dismantled an old TNT130 for parts. It had been stored in a damp shed for 15 years and the amp still kind of worked, though the speaker and most of the tolex had been eaten by mice.

 9.
Blimey! Those speaker screws are tight - my DeWalt won't budge them and I can't undo them by hand. I've got an impact driver but am afraid I might damage something if I start bashing the screws. Time for some professional intervention. Can anyone recommend someone who could take a look at my cab in the Faversham area - Kent?
I found the ones in my old ABM410 were super tight when I added damping foam, brute force undoing them by hand eventually worked. Sucks for you that there are 8 speakers!
 10.
Cheers for that protium. I'll look into it.
If you need the components, give me a yell.
 11. Can get close with Bass Micro Synth Or low-passed clean signal mixed with fuzz/OC-2

 13. You can mod it easily with a 100k resistor and a 1nF capacitor in parallel between the signal in and out on the volume potentiometer. This should give you a more even sound over the whole volume control
 14.
Isn't this a problem that has something to do with how the Pots work and why some people fit a treble bleed kit?
My thoughts too
 15.
yea thats what i thought. i emailed ashdown about it and they told me theres nothing wrong with the amp. when i am playing i have the input gain on 1/2 way and the output at 3/4. the valve drive is half way up and the sub harmonic is at 9 o clock. plus what ever my eq settings are. i was just a little disapointed on its volume to be fair. i just thought i wouldnt have to turn it up more than half way to keep up with a 120 watt laney guitar amp. iv i turn it up much more then the VU meter just sits in the red.
Switch the sub harmonics off. Waste of time. You can't set an amp up "wrong", but you can help yourself out by tweaking the settings. Ashdown by design have loads of low mids anyway, so try cutting those on the EQ or boost the highs a little and see how much louder you sound. Are you sat in the same frequencies as the guitarist? Also, try turning down at practice. There's really no need to be pushing a 410/115 stack to full power at rehearsal. You'll hear more of the mix, be able to fine tune your "sound" and be saving your ears at the same time. If a 410/115 stack isn't cutting it, everything else is WAY too loud.
 16.
Unless there's something wrong with it, or you haven't set it up right, that head through those cabs should bring down small buildings!
+1, demolition equipment
 17. Depends entirely what cabs you are using. For example, my EVOII 300W through a schroeder 1210L is outrageously loud, whereas through an ashdown 115 it's not. The 500 should easily be loud enough for band practices.
I have used Ashdown LH 500's in theatre's and I too was very disappointed. Lacked punch for me.
The LH500 is made by Hartke

 20. I could stick a pair of £150 basses together and get the same thing...
 21.
Exactly. He cant be bothered to google 'ampeg'!!! Not big, not clever and Id call it dishonest A
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/joke
 22. Odd question, but what are the transistors in the Mammoth?
 23. If the above doesn't yield anything, check the fuses on the power board inside the amp. They're glass, about 1.5inch long and will be blackened if they're blown.
 24. Some Alpine ones have iPod and USB connection, I've just sold mine one as well
