1. I was wondering of for example if Encore, Vintage, Cort, Chord, Rockwood etc etc would be compatible…...
2. Share your experiences please folks, what alternate to genuine or Squier necks have you found that are Fender P Bass compatible please? I think it would make a valuable resource for modders….
3. Suede's Matt Osman (his brother co-presents Pointless) always enjoyed his Bassilines...
4. Spooky, I asked the same question today on a different part of the forum……….. I'm looking to fit a HB neck to a Fender Style body, I'd appreciate it if you could measure the heel of the HB Jazz neck please……. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/276007-harley-benton-neck-size-question/
5. The necks too close issue could be solved using a Left hand PB Shorty neck for the bottom neck then the tuners would be underneath creating a bit more space to push the necks closer together……….
6. I have a desire to make a partscaster bass inspired by the Dusty Hill signature 51 P Bass. So I will need a left hand Jazz neck....then mod the head to Tele shape, etc, etc........anyroadup...... I have already got a Harley Benton PB Short scale and the neck on it is not too bad, needed a fret dress etc, but not too bad.....so Im considering buying a complete LH HB Jazzer, mainly for the neck, so, can anyone tell me please, if a HB 34inch scale neck is made to the same dimensions as the Fender equivalent? I suppose the important dimensions I need are the size of the neck heel..... Cheers! Paul
7. Agreed, I really like mine, I also bought a cheapy to mod, but was surprised how good it was in standard form, after a fret dress, polish and setup. Couldn't resist the modding bug though, so fitted a Single coil sized 2 blade humbucker and CTS pots, I like it so much, the rest of my basses are for sale! Wish I could get a Tort scratchplate though....
8. I have a Harley Benton PB shorty, it's great for the money, I changed the strings, pots, pickup and set it up, I'd gig it without hesitation...
9. Subscribed, this sort of build really floats my boat......
10. Two….
11.
Will Santa be bringing your good lady wife a new rug? I hope so!
No point! It will only end up like the original.......

15. The intonation adjustment screw on the Bronco are in the centre of the saddle, is it the same on yours? Can't quite tell from the photo....looks like your might be offset a little....
16. Sorry Sko I had a senior/too much red moment last night....anyroadup, I should have said, " I wonder if BRONCO saddles would do the job" So, suitably rested (and more sober) heres the saddle dimensions for a Squier Bronco, 2 strings per saddle like your Ibby... Total width of each saddle is 35mm Diameter 9mm String spacing 17mm If any use heres where I got it... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Squier-Chrome-Bronco-Bass-2-Saddle-Bridge-005-5410-000-/331682545511?
17. I wonder if Mustang saddles would do the job? Narrower than standard and two strings per saddle, I have a bridge somewhere I'll have a measure in the morning......
18. Might as well trade the joker against something else.....
19. Could it possibly act as a sort of ramp as well as a thumb rest?
20. You don't need prayers, just go back to basics and be methodical!
21. I think you need to go back to basics and start a setup from scratch, you may have adjusted the saddles when it was neck relief that needed adjustment and made the situation worse.....or similar........ There are good set up tutorials on the net if you search http://www2.fender.com/en-GB/support/articles/bass-guitar-setup-guide/ http://www.talkbass.com/threads/all-basic-setup-questions-answered-here.125382/ Have a check round the whole instrument, are the neck bolts tight (I'm assuming a bolt on neck, if a neck thru, you might be there a while!!) is the bridge still secure on the body? Its unlikely that the nut has suddenly become and issue, so I would first check the neck relief and adjust as necessary, some basses need the string tension slackening first, also check if you have a single acting or double acting truss rod....ypur adjustment may have increased relief rather than decreasing.... Then check saddle height....... Unless you have messed with anything recently I cant think of anything else that could affect playability suddenly if it was OK before the issue...... Good luck!
22. Coooool! Seriously good effort!
