  1. Best thread I have read in long time.
  2. Sorry to hear your bass has been stolen. To my ears it sounds like a p bass with tone rolled off a bit with flat wounds. I hear occasional bite/growl like nearly new flats but not quite new. Surely the sound can be achieved with some amp eq settings and comp.
  3. Can't decide . Need another listen and voted👍

  5. Popped up yesterday and twice today
  6. Boss DS 1 pedal immaculate for £7
  7. Nothing worse than bad sleep. I manage to get two nights a year when I sleep 7 hours without waking. The rest I'm awake multiple times and often get 4-5 hours of sleep still waking up. Fresh air in bedroom, clean cold bedding, ear plugs and eye mask helps. I've tried magnesium oil spray. You've got to use a lot and it's rather expensive but works. Also found hot milk on empty ish stomach helpful.
  8. Agreed. I recorded a track today playing with a green Dunlop pickup hard. Din't notice much flexibility but I believe I'd get a better result with a thicker and harder pick to suit the aggressive style.

  10. Cheers gents. I've been using Dunlop tortex but even they seem to move out of my grip.
  11. I started experimenting with playing with plectrum as it sounds better in trash metal mix. I use standard guitar pick 0.95 mm. I keep losing the grip when I play dynamically. Any suggestions what a good picks are for bass playing?
  12. Music at Superdry is super loud and super awful.
  13. Empire if the Clouds 18:01 Rime of the Ancient Mariner 13:39 Alexander the Great 08:37 Phantom of the Opera 07:20 Slightly over 45 minutes.
  14. What's a guitar strap. I am a solo home "artist" do don't use one really. I own a comfort strap and two cheapos that probably dug in your shoulders and neck. I found one under the workbench covered in dust.
  15. Problem solved. Have been running a new gaming laptop for a week or so. I had to re instal all the DAW plug ins and VST. It has been a painstaking process. Luckily, Focusrite sent me new activation codes 👍 and Ableton support team has been helpful. It appears to be running smoothly. I still have lots and lots of projects to transfer with 'collect and save' info. I find the process complicated and still lot to learn and do. The best thing about the new laptop is that there is no more hum/ground noise. Quiet like a 🐁 when running even the highest gain amp through Amplitube 4. I'm finally able to play with laptop plugged in.
  16. I've tried tea and coffee not the best result. I soaked the pickguard in very strong black ground coffee in a baking tray. It was submerged for 48 hours with poor result. It barely stained it even though I sanded it with a fine sand paper. The I rubbed brown shoe polish in and what a treat.
  17. Maybe the handwritten T looked like Y.
  18. I've just received an item from Europe. Arrived in 36 hours delivered by DHL. No issues. Was the post code handwritten on your parcel?
  19. Voted after two listens. Shame it's a poor turnout.
  20. Received a message from @suswill. Scam. Can this profile be deleted and blocked.
  21. I've encountered the similar issues recently. The sound was crackling, distorted and slow. I was unable to record. I ran chkdsc and the message was ' windows replaced bad clusters in file' after several hours and different messages the end result was:"Window has made correction to file system'. I am running Ableton live DAW. It turned out to be that VST is causing crashes. I'm told to try re install VST. I did chkdsc after some research and took risk I don't suggest it unless you know what you're doing. Is there are free lance pc expert in your area?
  22. Unable to finish my project due to laptop and DAW issues. The main culprit is Amplitude 4 in DAW .. Ableton live 10 keeps crushing. ☹️Need to reset both as suggested by Ableton tech team.
